large wages I think dont you? -
Yes I think it will fail especially at top flight with a set up like ours. These 3 guys were not even assistant managers if I remember rightly and just on the coaching staff. Ok maybe a bad example but Im sure there were other proper management candiates out there and without spending the next 2 hours on google looking for them I wont know

quality! I was thinking the same thing.

Ill but in on this one if I may. Wigleys appointment was a farse end of. The reason being that in 1995 we appointed Dave Merrington, a great servant to the club and a massive influence on coaching. He didnt cut it and was released, thus ending his relashionship with SFC. In 2001, we Lost Hoddle and again Stuart Gray, another respected and great coach was given the job and a few months later he was released again ending his relashionship with SFC. In 2004 after Sturrock, Wigley was appointed and yet another great coach was given the job, he didnt cut it and again ending a relashionship with SFC after a few months. Those 3 appointments were a farse and surely after 2 coaches being offered the job and then being released you would have relised that it wont work. As for 'worldclassmanagers-r-us' at the time there were plenty of "managers" around. George Graham being one of them. Me personally yes. It was a snap decision by Lowe. Considering Arry had left Pompey less than 2 weeks before on bad terms. But hindsight is a wonderful thing and if Arry had kept us up, we as fans would be syaing something different

See the Asturius Sports thread

I agree it is needed, but from a football point of view ie management change / player change (which I guess would happen as new board means new ideas) it means this season would have to be put back a bit in terms of set up and strategy. But syaing that Sunderland started again as such with Roy Keane / Quinn / new players in the January and they steamed the league so who knows

Have to say that made me chuckle, although have to make it clear that they were just on our table and had nothing to do with our invite. We did have a laugh when we walked up and saw them as we knew about the rumours of JF / DM etc and their consortium from here and the press etc
-
Ok now this has come to light. Ill post some bits. Myself and Um Pahars were invited by one of my suppliers to the MLT suite for the West Ham game, when we were shown to our table to our surprise JF, JC, DM and another guy who I have know for years were on our table. Their business name of Asturius Sport Ltd was also in the holder. I have since downloaded the companies records for this company and there are few more names which Im not going to disclose but free to look for yourself. But JF is very much into his football and a very nice guy as were JC and we all know about DM. "If it happens it happens" is my motto now since we have had god knows how many rumours etc. To be fair though the company name has been know for some time, someone mentioned it on the old forum

I agree and tbf none of the spin that we have had to put up with for the past few months

"Pericard picked the ball up 40-yards out, danced past a defender and launched a thunderous effort which dipped beyond the outstretched hands of Bartosz Bailkowski and in to the top left hand corner." How about this for praising one of their own up.
