Its all coached the sideways stance looking sideways and backwards , youth sides you will hear the coaches shouting easy ball constantly . Alex Ferguson had a philosophy that maybe our players would do well to buy into.....A pass should be a progression towards the opponents goal , it should also always be in front of the player it is passed to so that he recieves it on the run ( Ferguson would rip his players a new arse if a ball was played that made the recieving player check or have to turn to collect ) . If a ball was played to a player with his back to goal he coached them to do one of two things , first if the could allow the ball to run across them and turn and then be moving with the ball in the direction of the opponents goal OR the support players were coached to immediately make a parallel run so that the ball could be laid off to them on the run again towards the opponents goal . We do none of this ........we recycle for the sake of it play sideways to stationary players, play behind the recieving player for safetys sack . MP might as well stand on the sidelines screaming easy ball like the youth coaches do in Tyro because that is about where this coaching level is . We have no thrust no tempo no imagination and no fight ........he has to go , and we need a manager that can get the players playing with Tempo and belief and get them the to understand the idea of this great game is to score goals . Also I think the fitness levels are very poor this year when you look at the way we dropped off last night against a team that played only two days ago .

Kane was virtually on the Goal line when he headed the ball that passed in front of Forster .........Do you think the likes of David seaman or the orginal Schemichel would have allowed that to pass in fron of them like that , he could have stopped that attack dead by coming out and clearing it but no .....watched it pass him by stuck to the line .....sorry whitey but dont think its good enough .

I know we all have different views but for what its worth here is mine . Defence is fine .....Hoeydt stephens and yoshida as CBs with bendarak and alfie jones coming through is good enough in depth and quality . DM is fine .....Lemina , Rom and PEH are prem stamdard together , Davis as back up and again we have youngsters coming through. Wing backs FB ...fine no issues especially if we start playing three CB and three HMD lemina peh and rom are the best midfield., cedrid bertrand first choice but JWP/pied can do a job on right , targett and mcqueen left , also have youngsters coming through. ITS in attack we have issues . I would dump redmond for good sell him and also maybe Tadic. The BOTH effect the tempo of our attacks badly . Get walcott AND Giroud . Goalkeeper ...we need a proper back up or replacement ....for a ball to pass six feet infront of a 6 ft 7 inch goalkeeper and him not catch it or even try to is criminal and not acceptable.

I struggle to understand MP and his team selections unless he is told to play 4 2 3 1 , our best team selection and strongest stand out a mile for me especially now jack stevens has come back in good form . he hit on the correct formation at city .....and then went back to his normal crap . 3 at the back ......when VVD leaves yoshi hoydt and stephens two wings backs bombing forward when they can to make a 4 of attackers .......bertrand and cedric first choice , JWP, pied and targett as back ups. TWO AM Tadic and Boufal first choice .....Redmond , Sims |Gabbandini and Hesketh (who when fit will fit this position perfectly IMHO Upfront your in form striker ......Austin ....followed by Gabba , Long , and we really should get Gallagher back , he has the basic qualities we need 6 4 and very pacy .....coach him and he will do a good job. Pick it and stick with it , STOP CHOPPING AND CHANGING let the players get used to the formation and goals will come as will fluidity and tempo . Until this happens we are gonna be inconsistant and crap attacking IMHO

Heres an interesting theory .......Puel was sacked in the end because he was asked to change his style to a more attacking one and he refused to change his style of coaching allegedly ? Maybe Puel wanted to change to a more attacking stance and Reed refused to allow him to change the formation and playing style ? The continuation this year of this defensive non scoring snail like over coached crap would certainly suggest this . Even the commentators said at the weekend when our players get the ball the first instinct is to pass backwards when we were 2 nil down against liverpool . The players are over coached to be defensive currently they do NOTHING instinctively in attack and this needs to be changed , let them express themselves in attack and we might get out of this mess . Currently we are heading for relegation for sure , and anyone who doubts it look at the next 10 fixtures and tell where points are coming from.

For those of you not sure it is the same Saint Lee who used to be on here , he has been battling pancreatic cancer for the last two years very bravely , he was the guest of Kelvin at the club for a match last season as Kelvin is the president of the pancreatic cancer trust and Lee really enjoyed his evening and the club looked after him really well which was nice . The funeral is at stoneham on Thursday with a few drinks after to toast him on his way bless him . Lovely guy will be sadly missed by many people including myself and a true saint

Ok ...I know I am sad but I have analysed our play concentrating on our technical and possession stats in the final third ie our approach and attacking play . WE play 40% more passes in the final third than for instance chelsea and man city , 30% more than arsenal and Liverpool and generally as an average between 15 % and 22 % more than most of the other teams in league including Bournemouth who we stand 22 % over . This is based on the approach play in attack ,. To summarise we get to the box we are one paced and pass it sideways or backwards then try to work it wide and cross generally . Our problem is three fold . Tempo ....there is no change of pace in the attack , watch the other sides the come alive around the box quicken the pace , there is nothing wrong with walking it out of defence and through midfield , brazil do it as do Barca ....but when they get around the box the tempo changes.... it turns the defenders it creates space , we are totally one paced and predictable. Over coached .... there is no flair or adaptability in the team , everyone moves for a release pass be it backwards or sidewise fine , but they seem incapable of thinking fast enough to be creative , coach to keep the ball not be a threat to the opposing defence ....needs coaching out of them and i am sorry but redmond needs to be dropped and boufal who is the only player who currently has any attacking flair or imagination or remembers the idea is to score goals need a free role as a 10 and take a chance has to be better than where we are now. Variety we have none of this .....only when we are in the last five minutes do we try a different approach , there is nothing wrong with every now and again playing a long channel ball or one up the middle to turn the ops CBs around and give then something to be on there toes about . Every time we have the ball it takes the same format . Anyway heres hoping something changes , because a Rymans League team could defend against us currently

After the Man united performance and crystal palace I think the spine of the team is sorted and can only get stronger when VVD is back to speed . Goals and finishing is an issue but I honestly believe we are nearly there , confidence will come from the second half performance against mancs , lemina will help because he does drive forward more so than Rom. Honestly ...and i know we have been saying it for a while , its about to click up front and we have a solid back six excluding the keeper LOL

Someone suggested before perhaps his only way back with any credibility would be to sack his agent and then issue a statement saying he was poorly advised and has now sacked them off and is sorry for the action he has taken but they were driven by the agent . Maybe thats what is going on now ? four days and this will all unfold ....tbh I am sick off it and will be delighted when the transfer window closes and we stop having to deal with this **** as a club and can concentrate on the season to come .

this signing is a game changer in my view , i would put it on a par with signing VVD from celtic and Mane .......Hoedt is very close to VVD level in all departments and has the potential to be better than him , i have had sight of a scouting report prepared for another club when they were looking at him a year or so ago and it is stunning technically , pace , anticipation aerial power (he is 1.84 M) and from on standing jump is well above average clearance . very very good signing
