You're trying to insinuate that the club are not doing their best to get as many people as possible to the stadium and that the only way the club are trying to get out of the financial problems is cost cutting. What I am saying is that the lower attendance had to be expected with last season results in the back of our mind. Besides that the attendance during the course of last season was an average of 21253 and that included several highs like Sheff Utd. at home and the beginning of the season when people still believed we might be doing well. We're only 2258 below last seasons average, I'm not that disappointed by that, if results pick up a bit and we keep playing good football like today people will come back.

As pointed out, I'd say that's down to bad results last year versus good results the year before that.

He was one of our better defenders and its a shame he's gone but I agree with adriansfc that he's not as good as he's been made out to be. He's pretty much got legendary status because he was not as bad as the rest of the team last year. But in the end this sale was probably necessary as well, we needed some cash and with Rasiak, Saga and Viafara not bringing in any fees and Skacel still here we needed to sell someone else. I do hope that a replacement is brought in although maybe we should go for a fullback in stead.

18925 I had to play myself toady so I wasn't listening to the match but a 2-1 loss with 5live saying we were unlucky is not that bad. Of course not having points after two matches is a disappointment but we all knew that was a possibility after the fixtures were released and keeping last years results in the back of our minds. The attandence figures are a disappointment as well, but would would have expected otherwise. Last year we had a playoff season behind us and this season we had a last day survival behind us. I'm sure some people didn't go because of Lowe/Wilde but I think last years results have more to do with it. But in the end there's just one thing to say: Onwards and upwards.

If you read the original post he's talking about Davis (our goalkeeper) and not Davies.

Like I said, get a shortterm loan if one of them is injured and we always have Paterson. At the moment we also have BWP, although I do agree that he would be a good candidate for a transfer.

No, but assuming John or DMG will play 30+ games then there's at most 16 left for the other striker. Besides that we still have BWP or Paterson to play the striker role if needed and if one of the strikers is injured long term you either recall one of Saga and Rasiak (which might not be possible due to loanfees) or you get an emergency loan in. The luxury of having 3 players for one position is not one we have.

SO you wanted to have three players for one position? That's going result in unhappy players and bad team morale.

I think you've left out Davies, Thomas, Davis, Wotton, and John. Besides that Surman, Holmes and BWP aren't exactly inexperienced. I know some of them might still leave (most likely in my opinion Thomas and perhaps Davis and John if a good price is paid) but there is still experience in the team. Besides that we're not going to give Rasiak to Watford are we? We'll get some money for him and they pay his wages, I'd say that money can be well spend by keeping John at the club. And to answer you question concerning DMG, no I don't think so but in this formation the other attackers should chip in as well with some goals and I can see him getting 15 or so. The main point is, the team without Rasiak is just as capable of staying up as with Rasiak. He was never going to fit in anyway.

Funny how someone can get so wound up about a player that hasn't played for us in a year and in pre-season friendlies showed he is useless in this system. Besides that John is not gone and with him playing against Exeter I'd say he's here to stay unless we can get good money for him. I find it funny that you seem to think you're the only one that knows John is important to the team, maybe Poortvliet and the other coaches might have seen his qualities as well? So far he's not been sold and it seems that he is part of the team. Besides that, can you stop stating like everything is a fact? How would you know if this style of play is unsuitable for the CCC? How do you know that it will fail because we don't have the players for it? You're relying on a pre-season, one away match against Cardiff and one against Exeter for your "proof" and you weren't even at these matches. At least give the guy a chance and stop shouting that everyone will be sold, as said at the fans forum several players were transferlisted but that doesn't mean all of them have to be sold. I'm sure someone is watching the balance of the team. Now my advice, chill out for the next few weeks untill the transferwindow closes and we had a few matches under our belts this season and maybe there's something to be said about the system being suitable of unsuitable for the CCC and the players not being good enough.

We got some cash for the Rasiak loan deal as well, so if that's what Watford are going to do fine with me. We would have him off our books, he'll play matches in the CCC so he'll be in the shop window and we get a bit off cash.

I'm not so sure John is one of the main candidates for a transfer. He played in the cup and it looks like he's a main part of Jan's plans. With Saga and Rasiak gone (assuming MB is right) I think we've offloaded enough strikers and pretty much only Skacel and Euell are the ones we really want to get rid off.
