Because AP came in so late and our pre-season has been so crap because of it I think the 10 minus points and the points we'll spill in the first weeks will cost us too much in the end.

What I don't get in this whole discussion is why they seem to be so preoccupied with the NHS in the US. Aren't they aware that there are better (this is ofcourse open for debate but lets just say that the NHS is by no means the holy grail of public health care systems) public healthcare systems in the rest of Europe? Are they just focussing on the UK because the plan is written in English whereas they would need to learn Danish, Dutch, Swedish or German to read the plans from the other European coutnries?

Why do you think people liked him Tommi? Because he had a fun name? Its not because of his goals, people were raving about him way before he scored those. Now I can't say I have seen him play for Southampton but from supporter reports on here as well as the radio commentary on the Saint he was the best player on the pitch on a number of occasions. If he had a shocker once or twice that can happen, especially in a team that had not been playing well at all and in a team that didn't have a proper right or left back. Besides that, if he was as poor as you say he would have never played that many matches in the Dutch PL or have been on of the most important player at Roda JC for quite some time.

Players in his category probably make around 100 grand a year in the Netherlands. Perhaps he was on slightly more then that because he was the Roda JC captain for a while but I doubt it. Outside the top-6 clubs in the Netherlands Saints can afford any player in the Dutch league.

I'm not sure you can blame it on the second half subs.
