The clubs want to extend their stadioums anyway but they couldn't afford to do such big expansions in one go. The advantage of the WC would be that city councils would be more willing to help with both planning permissions and finances. Heerenveen and FC Twente already have concrete plans to go to 40000+, WC or no WC and AZ has already got building permission to extend their stadium to 30.000 with a possible extension to 60000. Perhaps the clubs won't sell out for pretty much every league game like they do now but it will be full enough.

As long as you are aware of your bias.

Its a double bid for both 2018 and 2022, I wouldn't be surprised if Australia gets one of them but I can almost guarantee you that one of them will go to a European country. I do have to agree with hypocondraic that England has the bonus of already having the required stadiums but on the other hand, its not like its going to be next year. It will be in 2018 or 2022, so there will be plenty of time to expand the stadiums in Holland and Belgium and the plans are already there to do so. Do get me wrong, I'm sure that England could host a perfect WC but so could Holland & Belgium and probably several other nations. To suggest that it would be ridiculous to give it to any other nation then England is just laughable.

They were the first ones to officially bid for the thing. How exactly is this measured? Just total attendances or is it measured against the population? If its the former then: Duh If its the latter, show me some numbers. I doubt if that is actually true.

Ok, lets see. If Holland would get the tournament with Belgium they would increase the capacity of almost all their rather modern stadiums to at least 40.000 as well as two over 60.000 including a new one in/near Amsterdam. As for your anti-racism and anti-hooligan argument, that might be valid for Spain but not for the Netherlands. In reality you might as well flip a coin to see who should get it, both would organize a good tournament in top-notch stadiums. Give me one reason why England would be better then Holland & Belgium?

I never ever heard of a Dutch bloke that closely resembles that name in Dutch football. He must be a gigantic nobody.

I think I own close to 30 pair of which 20 are the same brand and colour. It makes them easy to put together.

And why's that? You had it in '66 so wouldn't Holland and Belgium be first in line then?

I hope Holland and Belgium get it.

Even our attackers?

You what else brings back memories of a certain Saints team? The collapse in the last few minutes. :S

That's way to rational for this messageboard. Good chances to Saga and Smith, lets keep going and we'll get something from this match.
-
Keep it going the goal will come?
-
A sort of very attacking 3-5-2 formation.
-
Lallana and Smith coming on for Holmes and Perry.

You do like saying that don't you? Do you feel you have done something for the greater good if we win?

As you might know GBA and Ajax (one of my second teams) used to have a cooperation agreement. The cooperation ended a few years ago when Ajax grew tired of making ends meet at GBA and not getting that much rewards. But now all of a sudden the rewards are coming. There are currently 3 former GBA players in the Ajax first team and they've sold quite a few of them for some cash as well over the years (Vandamme, de Mul). Maybe they decided to pull the plug just a bit too early. Although I'm quite sure there is a lot of resentment against Ajax among the GBA supporters.

No, I'm saying the opposite.....

Yes, but the programmes he supported were generally ****. In Uganda they hadd a good anti-aids program backed by the EU. Then the US came in and offered more money but they had to change the program. No more handing out condoms but education about abstination. In the end the aids situation got worse again. its often not about how much but how you spend it.
