Any news on the international clearance of Saeijs? He was in the squad but it didn't say if he actually got the clearance in time.

JP's English makes me ashamed as a Dutch person. But he's from a older generation so perhaps that's why his English isn't that good. I expect Saeijs' English to be pretty good although perhaps with some weird sentence constructions and the Dutch-English accent (it always makes me cringe if I hear it).

Because that is not entirely true, there are fractions within Hamas that are more pragmatical (although many of them have been killed since 2006) and do support such a solution. Besides that many other Palestinian organizations have been supportive of the two state solution. On the other hand there have been Israeli parties that have been against a two state solution. The most important thing is that the two state solution on the table isn't really a fair one. The one is bigger and also includes the disputed East-Jersalem and the other is divided in two parts and is economically not very viable. I wonder why the two state solution is least popular in Gaza....

So maybe we should give America back to the Indians, Australia back to the Aborigonals and whatnot. Stupid argument, the thing is, if other people live there you can't kick them out at that is what Israel has done a lot.

Saeijs played at ADO from '97-98 season and they promoted to the Dutch PL in 2003. After that he's played in the Dutch PL for both ADO and Roda. Neither of these clubs have been managed by JP but in '83-'84 Poortvliet did play at Roda one season. The step form Dutch to English football is a weird one, sometimes crap players in Holland prove to be half decent in the UK (de Zeeuw or Wiekens) and players that do well in the Netherlands prove to be ****e in the UK (Berry Powell for example). We'll have to wait and see if Saeijs is the type of player that thrives in the UK but he does have the build for it at least.

He last played there in 1983-84, I don't think Saeijs was on the books then.

He's a real leader and before he joined Roda he had a few successful relegation battles with ADO Den Haag so he's sort of familiar with the situation. Not sure if he's 1.90m but he's quite tall and he's got good composure on the ball. In the Netherlands he always scored a few from corners so hopefully he'll do the same here.
