I don't think a merger is very likely, they both need investment and since al their profits in previous years have been sucke up by the US neither of them actually have any cash for investments. I don't think either of them would mind VW Group tbh.

Besides that I don't believe for one second he would be benched because of his salary, the backup just isn't good enough for that (assuming the first choice is Bart, I don't know Forecasts qualities well enough to make such a judgement). To conclude, unless a PL club offers silly money to Davis he will still be playing here on the first of February.

We play better away from home against teams that don't sit in front of their box all match. In my opinion we're more likely to get a win against Burnley then against Wednesday, not because Burnley are a worse team (although their match against Wednesday would suggest that ) but because their style at home is better for us.

Well, maybe he just wanted to give some public support as well. If he just says he wants a new striker that is not really going to motivate DMG and Robertson.
