New striker - signed? According to Dutch Media
Saint Martini replied to ladysaint's topic in The Saints
JP failed, he couldn't adjust to England and paid the price. Besides that I don't like the appointment of Wotte but that doesn't make Denneboom a bad player. In the end I'm sure that the team that we had the first half of the season was JP's team since Wotte likes to play a different kind of game. But like I said before, that's not what this is about, this is about Denneboom. A more then decent Dutch PL player that PSV tried to sign not too long ago. He went to Twente instead had a good season but was played out of the team by Arnoutovic this season. He's a good player who deserves an honest chance from the fans and definately doesn't deserve to be marked as a crap player before the ink on his contract has dried (if he's even officially signed already). -
Nah, they'd be Everton.

Saints to form an "alliance" with Hungarian League 1 outfit?

Mins = Mills & Boyle=that kid from Jersey Wilde recommended. Why's there no piece on OS about this historic win? -

Indeed, although it must be said that Denneboom wasn't a regular anymore at Twente. He was last season though and then they managed to get the second Dutch CL spot. Ow, my mistake. I was thinking this topic was about Denneboom. -

Ofcourse, because Wotte played for Twente as a youthplayer he is now signing players from them. it has nothing to do with him being a manager in the Netherlands for nearly two decades and everyone knowing pretty much everyone in that small world. Besides, Denneboom might have had one or two injuries but he is hardly injury prone and I don't get why you're (and many others) are already saying he's probably no good. Was Saeijs no good either? -

The answer is quite possibly, this is actually not such a bad signing. And if we're bringing up Delgado again we might bring up Crouch as well. -

No, he's not a German rightback. He is a bit like Babel though, better ballcontrol though and his shooting is not as hard. -

The replacement has supposedly already signed. -

That's actually a half decent player! He's big and strong (but not that good with his head) and very very fast. Good signing IMHO although we'll have to wait and see how he gets on in England. Not perhaps a great goalscorer but he's played on the wing quite a bit as well. -
"How you doin'?"

Dutch business people will buy Dutch clubs if they want a project. If they want a profit they'll invest in a PL club.
-
To be fair, Wotte does have a lot more experience of coaching at the highest level then Wigley. I'm not sure if this is the same thing.
-
On the plus side, in Holland Wotte often played 4-4-2 with his team.

That CV actually looks ok, the thing at Den Bosch I think was that the club went into admin and couldn't afford Wotte anymore (or he didn't want to wreck his "reputation") and he left after which Poortvliet took over and got Den Bosch promoted. The thing with Wotte is that he never manages to stay anywhere long and even though he has held higher profile jobs then Poortvliet I don't think he's a better manager. He just comes over a bit more sophisticated and has more smooth talk. It might work on the short term but I can guarantee you he will be gone with 1.5 years.

I'd be more confident with JP in charge. ****!

Kim is a very very strange firstname for a guy in Dutch (i.e. its a girlsname). But I so far I don't think that is the only strange thing about him.
-
I wasn't even refering to that. Somewhere it says: "De Nederlander van der Waal" (or something along those lines).
-
In the article it actually says the guy is Dutch.

I don't think many people support Hamas in the western world. I do think quite a few of them think the plight of the Palestinian people is one that is worth supporting.

Someone is afraid of admin? -
To be fair this could be due to JP's lousy English. He could have meant that he personally knew the player Saeijs quite well having seen tons of matches with him. Not meaning that they had a personal relationship. There's a lot of strange and worrying stuff going on at Saints but I don't think there is a big lie or cover-up going on here.

RL is being advised on football matters by some Dutch football nobody who is full of himself. As for the questions about his name. The Dutch article says Kim van der Waals and it also says he is Dutch. I have no reason to doubt that this information is correct.
-
You can't even find the bloke with google so that doesn't surprise me at all.
-
One quote about van der Waals jumps out for me. In the article it says: "Kim van der Waals is een grote bewonderaar van Jan Poormliet, maar nog een veel grotere van Kim van der Waals." "KvdW is a big admirer of Jan Poortvliet but an even bigger one of KvdW" i.e. He's full of it, I don't think the author of the article was very impressed with the guy. Besides that I don't think the article is that good. It seems like it is badly researched relying fully on the Dutchies at Saints for info.

All I can say is that I really never ever have heard of this guy. If anything he's probably some second rate agent or something. The reason I asked for the original text was indeed so I could translate it. It doesn't seem that long so it should be easy enough.
