  1. SSN just showed RK interview yesterday saying no player will be sold until we get a new manager and that no deals have been done So is RK a flat out bull sh1tter or is this nothing but a rumour ?
  2. The way Lamberts career is going he will probably move to Barca at 36
  3. Lost for words I was a firm believer in the board, but if we sell Lambert I will be questioning that choice,I was under the impression nobody was going until a new manager was found? What does £4mill buy you these days? Nothing that can replace Lambert, didn't we pay £4mill for Mayuka After such a good 4-5 years,it looks like dark times are ahead
  4. Great manager and the club owe him a lot for where we are today, but as said we need someone that can push us on again to the next level and sadly I don't think thats NA I don't think Poch took us on as far as the press would have the non saints fans beieve,Shaw and JWP were already in the first team, players had started to show progression and once we stopped playing 433 and switched to 4231 we looked a different team altogether, don't get me wrong Poch just added a bit more but who knows if those players would of flourished once that formation change had happened under Nigel, the wheels were already in motion for a good team As long as we get in a no nonsense manager that will carry on the style we are accustomed to I have no worries for the future of SFC
  5. You can only pressure someone to a certain point,if the contract was on the table and he said he wants to wait what can you do ? If he is making noises behind the scenes that he will sign, you have to trust the manager that he will sign,he obviously had no intention of signing but yet the board look bad because they trusted the manager? I feel the board would always come off worse on this, what where they supposed to do in the meantime start interviewing managers whilst MP was still here and tell him that just in case you decide to feck off we will have a replacement? If he did want to stay what message does that send out to him.
  6. How is it a poor response ? We offered him a contract,he didn't want it,he resigned and now we are looking for a new manager ?
  7. Unfortunately we don't know what's going on,they could be telling every club to do one or they could have a price for all our players. Until we see something significant that the board have control over be a transfer or manager appointment we can't judge on how the board are doing Have faith that we will appoint a CL experienced manager and have a £50-60m kitty with no player leaving
  8. This really I still am baffled by the anger towards the board, they manager has walked out on us and from the statement they released I get the impression they were not happy by it,they didnt thank MP for his work just announced he had resigned. They obviously offered him a contract that he didn't want, you can't expect them to announce it to the world they are waiting on him to sign and it's up to him. For me they can only be judged from here,a class manager appointed and a decent transfer kitty and MoPo will be yesterdays news
  9. I would say there is only 2-3 clubs in the world that can say that, every player has a price,to think we can announce nobody is for sale is wishful thinking If we have to sell a few to bring in a few with ££ left over then that's fine by me,it's part and parcel of football
  10. Even though MP has walked on us,we are not giving players away on the cheap We want £25mill for Ads £27m for Luke Plain to see, that even though plenty of people think we are in meltdown the board are clearly not letting anyone go without a fight,If the Spuds want to pay over the odds for one of our players and they want out I will drive them to North London myself
  11. I don't know much about Yakin, but I saw him mastermind those wins over Chelsea and he seems to be highly rated Basel play decent football, based on those games I saw in the CL I would say get him in
  12. Yakin fits the mould of what Cortese would want Let's see if KL & co share the same vision
  13. I notice they didn't thank MP in that statement?? A sign they are ****ed that he chose to leave ?
  14. They offered him a new contract he didn't want it,he resigned and went to Spurs. What more can the board do? If we had a chairman that aired everything in public people would be crying about that too Let's judge them on who they appoint and see what resources are given to them
  15. I note he resigned as opposed to them allowing him to speak to Spurs A lot of hate directed at the board, for all we know they tried there hardest to keep him,but his final choice was he wanted out The statement says we will be looking for a high calibre manager to take us on,let's wait and see what they do next as for me the manager is the real statement of intent
  16. Oh well,we move on,we will still have a club when he goes,I loved Southampton before Poch and I will love them when he is gone I have said previously that we are a attractive project for the right manager,I would imagine we will have a long list of top quality managers wanting the job its just a case of finding the right one. I just hope we continue to play the "Southampton way" the high pressing, possession game, hopefully if we can get a top drawer manager they will have a bigger player pull than MP and we can push on from last season
  17. I would imagine we are a very attractive project for the right manager,as long as they believe in bringing through the youth and can attract decent players I genuinely think we can attract someone bigger than MP
  18. Plus SSN will be unbearable this summer knowing the twitch will be on the hunt for new players
  19. Jeez,do I hate Redknapp, seeing his twitchy bollock face smiling after the game today made me die a little bit inside. I'm not sure this is a world I want to bring my children up in after seeing that tbh
  20. Not sure if I get what you mean ?? I was joking in reference to this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2634407/Yaya-Toure-behaving-like-spoilt-brat-birthday-row-Manchester-City.html
  21. I heard from someone within the club they have quietly cancelled the birthday celebrations they had planned for Paulo Gazzaniga and are keeping their fingers crossed.
  22. Pretty sure I also read that too,£3.7mill and they can buy him back, but if anyone else wants him his buy out clause is £20 mill Wenger would be nuts not to use that option imo
  23. I know that, but when you just take Kroos and Shaw as the examples Kroos at £20 mill seems like a great bit of business, however the deal has now fallen through so it doesn't matter United's transfer dealings have become shambolic. All done publicly, they've let everyone know they have dough and "money is no object". Like Fabregas last year all over again. I think we know this and will get paid massively over the odds for him,if the board handle this properly we could ask for £35mill and no budge on that,it will test them to see how keen they are on bringing him in
  24. Kroos to Utd for £20mill seems a steal considering we are "reportedly" getting £27 mill for Luke I am pretty sure for that type of money we can get a class replacement for a fraction of the cost,I also think that if we sell Luke we won't sell anymore players
