Could probably pick Bertrand up for £5-8 mill,he is a player more than capable of filling in that LB role It's seems inevitable Shaw is going to be sold at some point,I don't think it will be that big a loss as there seems to be plenty of decent full backs about we could pick up for a fraction of the price,AL will be the real loss if sold

If we are to progress on 8th next season we will need a attacking full back that can chip in with assists and score a few goals,is Targett the man for this ? I have never seen him play myself but he is mentioned a lot on here,is he a real prospect or is he just the next academy LB coming through ?

The few times I have seen him he has looked alright,granted he is no Shaw but the right team and set up he could be a decent addition,even for a back up to maybe Clyne at LB ?

I know he will only get experience by playing,but Sam G is nowhere near good enough for the 1st team imo

Ralph Kruger and KL will be ruthless I would imagine,just like Cortese it will be on there terms and nobody elses,we are a selling club and that is a fact and if anyone thinks different you need a reality check,if the right price comes along for one of our stars ten they are for sale,but you can bet we will get absolutely top whack for them nobody will be leaving on the cheap

Cork winning the presidents award was the highlight for me,Steve Davis would of been a worthy winner for it as well IMO,a new contract should be given to Jack tomorrow he is too good to let go and going into the last year of his contract we would get peanuts for a quality player

These "stories" are probably put out there by the players agents,they are probably angling for a new contract/pay rise And just because KL may not know that much about football don;t be fooled into thinking someone can come in and insult us with small offers for our star players,£15 mill for AL is laughable in every sense. Cortese would want £50 mill in cash and the keys to city of Liverpool,I would imagine KL is even more ruthless,MP won't want AL to go and I would be surprised if AL wants to go so as usual this seems a non starter

I agree with all of this,the attacking full back is becoming one of the most important positions on the pitch these days,if he can put in 10-15 assists a season and chip in and score a few goals,can play LB at Champ league level for 10 years then £3mill a season is peanuts,Utd signed Ferdinand for £30mill in 02 and you cant say they didnt get there moneys worth from that Utd may think that he may turn into a Bale-esque attacker as well and we all know how much he eventually went for If he does go I could even see Clyne pushed out to the left,he has played a few times already as LB and did a great job.

I know we miss J-rods pace and movement but we are lacking a lot more than one player. We have such a paper thin squad that we need at least 4-5 players to come in that can strengthen up the squad.

Lambert has been stranded alone up top,nobody has been supporting him and the final balls have been rubbish With no J-Rod in the team we look hopeless up front,I would take off JWP and bring on Sam and drop Rickie back

Missed a bit of the 2nd half but Clyne looked threatening going forward and seemed to offer much more than Chambers did Gazza did ok I felt,had a couple of saves to make and did them well On another note Zaha looked a handful when he came on,gave Fonte a tough old time HCDAJFU imo

After the Osvaldo saga and the way Mayuka didn't work out for us I would like to think we would go for someone prem proven or one of the top championship strikers.
