You are right the fans are not blame just maybe a little 5% or less say. But we are not the only ones to be in a similar situation Just look at Norwich and Charlton and to extent Watford. If Reading dont get back to the Premiership they will be selling their players too and could be in trouble next season. There is a general problem with clubs being relegated from the Premiership with large wage bills and outgoings

Yes plus VAT on tickets and merchandise

I dont admit to be as knowlegeable as you but I did look up Pearson when he was appointed and remembered him playing.
-
Being abusive hardly enhances your case does it. Go on develop your argument and we may come to some agreement. I just think the finances were so bad that desperate action was needed to reduce costs.
-
He was not a well known name but like you I have done some research he was a in my opinion a Dodd like character I remember see him playing a few times.
-
Benji I am sorry but I am fed up with all this NP love in I am more interested in the future. We had to cut the coaching budget somehow and unfortunately NP had to go Some people think one thing others another about how and what has happened but no one really knows what and when decisions which led to our demise happened.
-
Obviously we can stay up but whether we will I dont know Considering how many dare I say it Lows we have had it is time we had a high. We played well at Reading out of the blue so we maybe able to do it again.
-
Yes you probably are Cant you realise other people may have a different point of view NP was OK lacked experienced and apparently cost more - SFC were obviously trying to save money so he went. If we had money it would probably have been a different scenario

It is very strange somebody on another thread said he was the best Saints Player. Beattie did not have a good first touch but like Heskey played for England -
Yes but if results did not come they would have been on his back. He may have done well he may not have we just dont know. You would have thought that last season we would have done better but we did pretty badly
-
I agree with you but most of the fans do not seem to have grasped the fact that as we had less money we would probably have to buy inexperienced players. Wotton was bought in as an experinced old pro to assist the youngsters
-
You could possibly have Kenwyne Jones and Scott Macdonald. However before there was the Premier League we used to have numerous homegrown players. But the standard is so high that there are now very few English players in the league itself.
-
Yes I agree but I think innpoint 3 - He had no chance with the large majority of fans because what ever he did for the good was not believed. Point 5 I totally agree but I am not certain we can ever have the traditional manager approach today as they change so frequently and the board probably dont trust them to spend money wisely. It is ironic that Burley's unwise spending has caused so much of the problem
-
I think most teams have good results sometime in the season and the better ones have more and the poorer ones less. We are a poorer one as we cannot score goals when on top
-
Yes we did with Ommerod but that is not the point, the teams in which benali played had MLT
-
Yes I totally agree they also dont seem to antipate what is going to happen in the next few seconds either I think firstly I would like players with ability to read the game and then be able to run in the right direction or in the case of BWP not to run into an offside position
-
So you want a team of crap players with little ability that run around and get booked? Well I dont
-
Yes I agree with your sentiments it is very difficult to chose the right manager I would have thought. If the team starts losing they are under so much pressure
-
I dont want a team of Ormerods and Benali's I want a team with ability and players who can antipate what is going to happen. Running arses off in the wrong direction is of no use if there is no ability. As Lawrie used to say we need a team of both piano players and roadsweepers we appear to have neither at the moment
-
I agree with you as my first post suggests that they are not very good. But in theory as UM suggests we should have probably done slightly better as a couple of extra wins could possibly have saved us
-
I agree but when we have been on top in games we have regularly failed to score. It is the same with Middlesboro they spent £13 m on Alves and I think he has scored 7 goals
-
Yes a reasonable point but you ou are allowed a goalkeeper . Yes but James and McGoldrick have apparently been our best players and BWP and Surman are hardly kids
-
So was last years as well The inability to score goals is the main problem probably which means the team is not good enough. Strikers cost money and earn high wages which did not help us in our financial situation We have not been beaten heavily on many occassions ten more goals would have helped sifnificantly
