I did not know why they needed a press conference in the first place. But when it was announced I thought it may be a way of letting fans know what is really going on. But keeping us in the dark only leads to rumours most which are probably untrue. So now we are probably in a worse position than we were early this morning
-
Yes I agree for this season but not last. However I do think overall he is probably our best outfield player
-
Nothing is guarnteed in football he may do well Dowies has succeeded in the past and also failed as well Likewise with Curbishley
-
As an avid fan I think it is very difficult to run a football club objectively Difficult but not impossible
-
Is that the same Mary Corbett who got Wilde into SFC in the first place. I think her judgement is very questionable
-
I am sorry but I dont real know what you think Lowe should be doing in this time of emergengy. Perhaps the finances are OK Surely you dont want him to play or coach the team?
-
So you dont go skiing neither do I
-
I am sorry that you do not agree with me but we have no money and therefore have a poor team. If we had a substantial amount of money I would fully agree that a better approach could have been taken I thought Lowe was at St Mary's on Friday before he went off on holiday. I still do not know 100% if JP was sacked or resigned
-
That is what I would have thought too. And Lowe may have a mobile phone so he can be contacted in the event of a serious problem
-
I dont think it is significant . The guy at the game at Farnborough was thought to be a possible investor. But Barcelona said it was the guy he saw at the airport and was involved in putting the deal together to bring JP and Wotte to SFC so crushing another takeover rumour
-
Yes exactly
-
What does running the club actually mean? I thought the team was being run by Wotte from today
-
I would not think he needed permission to line up a manager. But if he is involved with a takeover I would have thought it a good thing to be prepared. Whether it is true is another matter
-
Sorry I was going to say But Crouch's one main advantage is that he is not called Rupert Lowe meaning the fans would rather have anybody rather than Lowe. Although I do think Lowe's name and background do not help him By the way I am not a Lowe luvvie and would like to see him eventually go. But as that seems unlikely at the moment so we have to live with him being Chairman
-
Yes I agree completely with what you are saying.
-
Yes I agree but it depends on what Crouch wanted There are always two sides to every story But if Crouch really wanted to work with the other two getting this info in the Public domain is not helping
-
I see there is no chance of a ceasefire then . You would have thought these so called leaders of our club would try and reach a settlement for the long term good.
-
But Crouch's one main advantage is that he is not called Rupert
-
That is because he appears to court publicity and is pally with the fans. If that is the criteria for a good chairman let him return
-
I do like the quote Proven manager Burley and Redknapp were proven managers apparently but did not help us in the end Pearson was not proven in the Championship but did not get us relegated and is well liked here by loads of fans Finding a good Manager and keeping them is difficult as other clubs have shown
-
I dont they can be recalled as we can not pay them and there is of course no guarantee that they will score the number you suggest.

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations for Left Side Striker in the B-Team.
John B replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Chivers was a very good footballer good in the air and had very good ball control I saw him score a great goal in 1964 v Man Utd in the cup down the Dell at the Archers Road end beat a couple of players then hit a left footed screamer in the top left hand corner. Ossie was past his best when he came to us but in the 1960s he was a player people went to watch and paid money to see him. Likewise as you say with Worthington As Chivers is a Southampton Boy as well I will go for him
