  1. The league are worried that lots of clubs are likely to go into Administration so they may look on us kindly
  2. The Echo contacted the Football League have the BBC?
  3. What meeting?
  4. I think the Southampton content is the Responsibility of our Local BBC not Central
  5. Newcastle is big news Again did not know about Darlington although I look at BBC News fifty times a day Everything is going to be OK McGoldrick to score five goals for us in April
  6. Much bigger news I would have thought If I supported another club I would be more interested in Newcastle than Southampton I did not even know before today that Derby went into Administration
  7. Yes spouting the obvious unfortunately
  8. Thanks for putting on these two threads I was getting confused with so many threads
  9. No not yet but probably SLH not the football club
  10. I dont think we are deep in the mire but it is only a guess based on this from the Echo Derby County provided the precedent which has seen Saints avoid a 10-point deduction for their parent company going into administration. Back in October 2003, when ex-Saints boss George Burley was in charge at Pride Park, the Rams' parent company Derby County PLC were taken into receivership by the Co-op bank with debts of around £30m. But Derby County Football Club, a seperate organisation under the umbrella of the Derby County PLC company, were not taken into administration and had no points deduction. Within minutes of Derby County Ltd going into receivership, a consortium took over from them and that company ceased to exist. So we may have new owners
  11. I usually agree with you but the word cancer is used widely these days in non health type issues
  12. The Echo says we are not getting any points deducted Is the club being sold to new owners? Are Wilde and Lowe involved anymore? What will happen to the Stadium? etc So many questions any real answers
  13. Things could be OK then?
  14. Yes I agree with that as I posted on another thread. Not because we became a PLC something I think we had to do but because of the Premiership and high wages paid to both players managers and executives
  15. All managers want better players that is true every where.
  16. Yes I agree Crouch comes way behind Wilde and Lowe in the Blame stakes and only gets in because he believed someone would pay millions to invest in SFC
  17. ECHO says that they have checked with the Football League and the club will not go into Administration
  18. Perhaps the Debts are with SLH and not Southampton FC limited
  19. There is no money in it for Lowe surely he will be off Not so certain about Wilde he is the Football Chairman not Lowe
  20. I blame my Mum and Dad for living in Southampton otherwise I would not care a toss but I do But being long in the tooth I am not as upset as the youngsters as we were in Div 3 South when I first started taking an Interest in the Saints and have seen some great Saints games
  21. Yes you are right but the club will always be there and there will be good times ahead somewhere along the line. Having supported the club for fifty years I remember the good times with affection when money had not ruined football like it has today. The Premiership with all its money has caused our demise bring in people like Lowe Hone Delieau etc who are in it to get some of this money
  22. You maybe right but I thought he was cutting costs to try to balance the books and save us from Administration. But what do I know Whatever he tried to do did not work. But then it was virtually an impossible task as he could not sell the high earners I still think Wilde destroyed the club not Lowe but both should go
  23. Wilde brought in Lowe and agrred with what he was doing. Cost cutting was always going to lead to bad team performances but I hoped we could have won three or four games and would have been slightly further up the table. Last season we were not much better hardly winning away
  24. No Crouch is not to blame much but he was taken in by Wilde's fantasies that is my point. I just wish he had worked with Lowe in 2006 thats all
  25. Thats right cost cutting because of our debts makes the team worse and we get in less people paying . Not playing 442 did not help either Paying more for players gets a better team more supporters but probably more debt A difficult situation to resolve which Lowe has found out especially when he was unable to sell anybody bar Davies for any sort of money.
