Well it is a bit Strange Strachan and Burley would not have had an interview then. As I said in the other thread I think Crouch may have meant a manager playing 4 4 2
-
I would have been against signing Euell but he did sign Davies for something like £1m at £10000 per week when we should have been cutting back. He was a good player but really we could not afford him. I dont see why he should not be the Football Club Chairman but not Chairman of the Holding Company

When can Ruperts Dutch experiment be considered a failure?
John B replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
If we go into administration it will have failed. If we dont go into administration and are in League 1 or 2 in two years time it will be have failed. If we are in the CC in two years time and not in the relegation zone it will not have failed. -
Yes I agree that Crouch is acting as a fan but not as CEO. The poster was only pointing out that with Crouch in charge the Premiership is still a long way off and if he spends recklessly as a fan the club will still be in financial meltdown
-
Is Leon Crouch racist? The Daily Echo "suggests" he is.
John B replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I agree with your sentiments but I think Crouch is saying English because the English play 4 4 2. -
I thought Cork and Pearce were OK this year Perry Wright and Lucketti were good last year
-
Not if we go into administration his wages are £150000 approx to the end of the season and he has not played well or often. We may then a get a better loan player on less wages
-
I thought he said that he had spoken to Euell not met him I think we should support the club in their dealings with Euell as getting him off the payroll is important
-
Is Lowe trying to keep him or get money for him? What is the issue
-
Yes I agree Lowe may have earnt loads of dosh but syphoned off is a little strong
-
Yes but most successful business changes are not discussed in the Press
-
The strategy is to keep us out of Administration I would have thought nothing to do with how well we play this season. I thought if we survive this year then obviously more focus will put onto developing the team It may have worked if we had sold some of Rasiak John Euell Thomas Skacel Saga Lallana or Surman but no club seems to want them and our overdraft is still high. I still cannot see how as a club we can progress if we do not get a huge investment without developing some good young players who do not demand wages of £10000 per week which we will be unable to afford
-
Perhaps he is counting his money
-
Rod is supporting somebody for Chairman of the English Cricket board who apparently a mate of Lowe's Lord Marland
-
I would have thought isf SCW was getting what you said he was getting he was better value than Euell I am not saying what he is worth only he is a sharp cookie. But Kim is only an agent of sorts By the way how much is Harry worth?
-
I know sometimes the facts do not meet with your opinions. Even with Pearson there would be the need for agents maybe Lawrie's son
-
Well if Kim talk as much sense as SCW then I think it is a good idea employing him. A very sharp cookie is SCW he takes no crap from anyone
-
Possibly true but Crouch maybe be saying he will put in £2million knowing Wilde/Lowe wont or cant match it.
-
We need any investment to be used so that we dont go into administration . But the whole idea is beginning to look ridiculous I agree with Weston I just have the feeling it was Crouch who told this story to the Echo to make himself look good.
-
Please explain
-
All in the detail I would have thought Crouch is not going to give £6m without a watertight deal probably will get Lowe/Wilde shares as Proxies. The most important thing if this is to go forward is getting £4million
-
Even with Crouch's Money if that occurs we are not going to be that successful in CC and the fans wont like that. That is the reason I liked the idea of getting in really good young players and developing them but that takes time The average fan does not appear to want to wait success today is the most important criteria for them but is not always possible.
-
I dont really think it is going to happen as Mary Corbett was apparently very confrontational yesterday. Probably another of Crouch's PR Offensives Pity really because it is the best approach I have seen recently to get rid of Wilde/Lowe but of course it would leave us nowhere near a position to return to the Premiership
-
It is suggested that he buys their shares I thought But for this deal to happen there must be compromises on all sides otherwise SFc will probably go into Administration .
-
Yes it would have to be an agreement not only reducing the debt but also that Wilde and Lowe sell their shares in the future . Perhaps the bank would take £4mill and the rest could be used on players. Crouch is going to be rather busy trying to find the extra £4 mill I dont know that this deal will happen but it is a start. If we did go into Administration it looks as though Crouch is the only one likely to buy the club
