Is Benali not the John Sergeant of LBs?
-
Big John McGrath had no pace but what a player But I take your point I thought England had a lot of pace last night which contributed to the win.
-
Considering we are in the Championship Adam is not scoring many goals. He is obviously a good player but I dont think he is in the Le Tissier Wallace's Class
-
Shilton was one of the greatest English Goalkeeper only second to Gordon Banks in my opinion Niemi very good but not in Shilton's class I saw Reynolds let in 5 v Cardiff as he could not see the ball very well

Agboola was sweeper or CB TEAM v LIVERPOOL 1984 SHILTON MILLS AGBOOLA WRIGHT DENNIS D WALLACE WILLIAMS HOLMES ARMSTRONG MORAN WORTHINGTON not a bad team with five home grown players and Puckett the sub We won 2 0 attendance 19698 with one of the best goals I ever saw at the Dell
-
Yes Peach was fullback in Cup Final 1976 Holmes was number 4 I think that day Holmes was LB with Golac RB in 1981/82 Mills replaced Golac and Dennis replaced Holmes
-
In the early eighties when Armstrong joined us Nick Holmes played LB until Mark Dennis arrived
-
Exactly It was not only his temperament on the field , I understood from a friend who lived in Birmingham that he caused all sorts of problems off the field
-
No I thought of Traynor as I saw him play lots of times but I felt as he played in Div 2 and 3 he did not have the Quality to be the greatest LB
-
LB Mark Dennis Wayne Bridge David Peach Dennis Hollywood RB Stuart Williams Ivan Golac Mick Mills Peter Rodriques

Considering we never seem to be in the lead I find it difficult that we should be shutting up shop. Our main problem is a lack of goals. Of course we are going to struggle with youngsters I quite agree with MLT I doubt if the board would disagree with his sentiments
-
Yes I am with you on this one. He does not seem to be able to score goals
-
Wilde's mother may have been Rathbone before she married
-
I thought one of the main reasons becoming a PLC was to be able to get a loan for the Stadium. If that is not the case there cannot be any benefits that I can see.
-
Very Negative response nothing positive here I suggest. It is negative people which are helping to destroy the club
-
I think you will find that most clubs are PLCs I was quite surprised when I checked
-
Just because you are a Lowe Hater someone who does not agree with you is not always a Lowe Luvvie We dont seem to agree on anything but never mind
-
OH I see
-
Why would he want to do that?

The SISU bid must have got the shareholders together for discussions which must have alerted them to the extremely poor financial situation. Crouch may have been convinced another takeover was on the cards and did not do anything major to resolve the financial situation. Wilde I think thought there was no likely takeover on the horizon and lost confidence in Crouch. But who knows it is all very strange. It is strange as when Wilde resigned in the first place and Hone would not let Crouch be Chairman of the football club. Ridsdale wrote a book on the Leeds Saga called United we Fall published by Macmillan I would love to read a Southampton equivilent.

I think there are Lowe Haters who although probably have never met him or spoken to him are violently against him . Then there are posters like St Warwick and myself who are alledgley Lowe Luvvies but are just realists and see as he in charge let him get on with it but there is no alternative at the moment. As we dont know any of the facts we cannot say he is doing a good or bad job all we say is that the team is not performing well and we will probably be relegated

I wonder how many there were there in 1965 will be there tomorrow
-
He is only doing what Trevor Brooking also wants http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7725388.stm but mainly because of finances I like Lordswood Saints Post it is extremely realistic and I am in agreement with the contents I think Trevor Brooking is boring and never says anything of interest

I take it that you cant understand by your attitude in your moronic response
