It does not say when the players are to be sold it could be at the end of the season. There are other people beside Lowe and Wilde involved in our situation
-
Yes I never wanted to be a bean counter although it is well paid But I still do not understand whether Alpine's view is right or Alpine's View is wrong that we are heading for administration from the facts from the AR. Also the banks are supposed to be lending more to small companies it is a shame we are with Barclays which took no government money
-
Could you rephrase this post I cannot understand it with all the inserts Usually your input is interesting
-
The current team will have had a season of experience
-
I agree with your comments but I would have thought £600,000 was a reasonable Loan fee - Rasiak did little at Bolton. The increase in wages must have been Richard Wright and Andrew Davies. Apparently Wright has not played well for Ipswich this season but Davis has for us and I dont know whether Davies has played at Stoke. If not the decision to keep Davis and Sell Davies seems a good one
-
Well the facts seem to refute your analysis We seem to be £8 m worse off after Lowe went and do not have Bale Baird or Jones but I expect the money in the bank was income from Season Ticket sales but I think the two years from 2006 were an undoubted disaster. Whether this year will be ant better we will have to wait and see.

I do not want to learn how to be dull thank you
-
No it does not say that Just a reduction
-
Does it mean that we are OK as long as we reduce the £4.5 million But by how much I wonder
-
Things have appeared to improve recently so he maybe worth having
-
Yes it would appear to be the case
-
I agree
-
It does appear very childish and futile to boycott the club because the Chairman is not liked. What does that really achieve - probably less points this season as players will have to be sold
-
I think 15 points from the next 10 games is achievable and would mean that we would have improved as at the moment we only have 19 from 18 games
-
The youth approach will NEVER deliver stability.
John B replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
You are correct in saying that a Youth Team will not bring us success I dont think stability is the correct term but Lallana Surman James White Gobern etc will not always be kids.. The best teams we ever had included home grown players like Williams Channon Moran Holmes Hebberd and Holmes mixed with Shilton Ball Keegan Mills Golac Armstrong etc. As I understand the long term strategy of SFC is develop players so eventually when the financial situation is resolved we can again start buy more experienced players and the two sets of players will form a reasonable team. Buying players like we have done in the last ten years proved not to be that successful However it is virtually impossible because of the money available in the Premiership to get in players of the quality I have mentioned and because of our financial situation and the rewards in the Premier League we will not be able to keep all our home grown players. That is why we have invested in the Academy -
What on earth are you talking about Live in the real world if we have no money we may well get relegated but on the other hand we may not. Nothing is certain except three teams will be relegated this season that are the rules
-
Yes I probably agree But if Surman or Skacel are to go in Jan it maybe a good idea
-
Please read carefully I was making two points I said that Lowe was not only selling but also investing in new players whether they are any good is another thing I was not saying buying Pullis and Gasmi was good as we have not seen them play. However I did say that I thought Lowe was a better bet in the transfer market than Hone and Crouch. Crouch having little experience
-
Get real the stuff happening at SFC is happening elsewhere as well Football Clubs go up and down. We do have a reasonable plan for the future and there is stability except for a rabble saying Lowe out for no sensible or intelligent reason Wilde and Lowe are not involved at Charlton and they are in a worse position than us
-
What if Bobby Stokes was offside at Wembley in 1976
-
Yes fair comment but I do find some of these posting sometimes extreme So how are we going to start winning at home When I went to the Dell we hardly ever lost when I go to St Mary's we hardly ever win
-
Of course there is the possibility of relegation and administration but it is not a foregone conclusion we are supposed to support the team not tell them they are a load of rubbish Surely it is better to encourage them so that they can improve. If we can critise the players perhaps they can critise us for being so negative on occassions. How many games have we won at home in the last two seasons?
