Perhaps he was helping his knackered and injured players and thinking of the big picture we do have another two games next week which we have a chance of winning
  2. I think Yoshi Romeu and Tadic need a rest maybe Gardos Reed
  3. We have not yet conceded a goal in the EFL this season A pretty nervy last 20 mins though
  4. As usual your post is nonsense and inaccurate and appears to be based on raw emotion and little intellectual understanding During the campaign, it was not made abundantly clear that a vote to leave the EU would mean leaving the single market. Although Boris Johnson said UK will 'still have access to single market’ despite Brexit http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-eu-referendum-single-market-brexit-a7104846.html The referendum wasn’t legally binding, but there’s plenty of scope for argument about whether politicians should feel obliged to implement the result anyway. https://fullfact.org/europe/was-eu-referendum-advisory/ There is the likelihood that the standard of living will fall post Brexit as the increase in inflation indicates with today Heineken and Carlsberg follow makers of Carling and Budweiser in hiking cost of their beers in face of weak pound you may not drink but I do I agree that Cameron and Osborne made their positions untenable through their shrill warnings of dire consequences but that was a continuation of the failed austerity policy which thanks to Brexit has changed slightly. Economists' did not forecast of doom they forecasted that the fall in the pound would lead to inflation interest rises and loss of jobs which is happening https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/jan/25/brexit-economy-weak-pound-inflation-jobs-market By the way where is all that money for the NHS another Brexit lie “I have never used the £350million figure myself because I don’t accept it,” say Jeremy Hunt The Tory Party does not always do what is best for the country it usually does what is best for the Tory Party for instance it only had the Refendum to appease its right wing We now have a PM who is so desperate to hold on to an unelected position she is being dominated by failures with axes to grind. Duncan Smith the most pathetic Tory leader in history who believes anything he thinks is right and is untruthful Liam Fox whose expenses claims and morals are dubious to say the least, David Davies who failed his leadership campaign. And has been sulking ever since Not forgetting Boris who'd sell his grandmother for a top job. It's no wonder this lot don't want scrutiny! I think Parliament should ensure this Brexit doesn't end up in the country falling to utter ****, and be given the chance to see and hear of any deal and vote on whether it would work or not, and you just want full balls-to-the wall 'yes Theresa i'm your gimp and you can do whatever you like and I won't say a word about it' mentality?
  5. Most people dont want the Government to pass laws without scrutiny by Parliament that is acting as a dictatorship the Referendum Bill was badly formulated by a weak and arrogant PM who assumed that the UK would stay in the EU. Nothing was in the Bill relating to what events would happen after a Leave vote as it was only advisory and the result could have been ignored but the ruling from the Supreme Court sets out what should happen next. Only a fool would allow a government to do what ever it wanted to do with Brexit because it is the most important event to be discussed in Parliament since the Second World War and is going to take a long time a lot of money and a lot of debate to make certain that people like you and me have the same standard of living with decent jobs that we have had in the recent past. Although in likelihood the standard of living after Brexit is going to less than it would have been if we had not left the EU but with luck now that Parliament is involved it is not going to be bad as described by George Osborne and David Cameron in Project Fear If there had been no court action and Brexit was passed on Royal Prerogative Governments could pass other controversial legislation without the scrutiny of Parliament Brexit is going to happen but the final settlement needs to be agreed by Parliament to be in the best interest of the country and its people and not in the best interests of the right wing of the Tory Party many of which want to cut the rights of the British worker in order to give more profit to their donors.
  6. And was the longest game I ever saw at Dell after terry Curran scored after about 10mins
  7. If Mrs May had not appealed the case Article 50 could have been passed probably Dont you think it is a good idea for us to have the best Brexit as nobody who voted leave had an idea of all the ramifications that would be entailed.
  8. I dont think Man U have ever beaten us at Wembley but I have seen Saints beat Man U at Wembley so there is always a chance
  9. He is one of the fastest defenders in the country http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-leagues-20-fastest-players-9135788 Like all players he gets better with regular games and no doubt will improve further
  10. I would like 5 too but we also need to think about the Liverpool game
  11. Remainers are not certain of about anything but they are doubtful that the UK will get a good trade deal with the US doubtful that foreign investment for jobs will continue and doubtful that inflation will be good for the UK they are also doubtful that leaving the EU is good for the environment workers rights UK citizens abroad UK Universities the fishing industry et all Whereas fanatics like you are certain that the UK will get a good trade deal with the US despite knowing little about what is involved are certain that foreign investment for jobs will continue despite comments from business leaders to the contrary and dismiss concerns regarding inflation which probably will lead to interest rate rises and less money in peoples pockets so making the economy stall. Most of the growth in the UK in recent months has been fueled on credit so it is doubtfull paying back debt is going to cost the same as it is now
  12. Dont you realise the club is investing in young players including the Academy it is not economically sustainable to go out and buy new players all the time so we have to develop them We got relegated in 2005 because we had very few young players wanting to learn and improve themselves and lots of pretty average older players We have to give them a chance and see what happens but as Harrison Reed may not be up to it but Stephens Sims Hesketh Lewis and McQueen have shown progress Targett and JWP are in the England U21 squad and they will become better players as time goes by We replaced Juanami Mane and Wanyama with Redmond Boufel and Hjoberg who will all probably develop in the next couple of years like Romeu and Yoshi have done Injuries to Pied Gardos McCarthy Boufel and Austin two of which are key players has not helped the team either
  13. Maybe this sums up Brexit 'The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are so certain of themselves and wiser people so full of doubts'. Bertrand Russell

I am not sure many supporters are really interested in the style of play most like me want a few goals and a few wins. It is winning that counts for me as it makes me happy
  15. What you is saying is realisticand I agree with it but what happens if we cannot to get a top class CB in the next week or so should any old CB be brought in. Its the same with a striker I should think the club want to get in players but if what is available is not top class what is the point
  16. Of course we need a good striker but finding one to come to St Mary's in January is going to be very difficult I would imagine

So please explain how they are not executing the tactics if they have loads of shots at goal and miss nearly all of them. Its not tactics it is players not being able to get the ball in the back of the net. Against Spurs and WBA their strikers managed to score good goals especially that Phillips effort none of our players except for Boufal and Austin ever seem to show that bit extra and score a decent goal. Even our winner to night was a bit of a **** up with poor execution The winner at Burnley was also bad execution first the foul then the setup of the wall and then the poor attempt to stop the shot. Similarly at Norwich giving a late goal away was poor with bad marking.

Norwich City probably as they had no shots on target or corners If you look at the BBC highlights the problem seems to be execution not tactics we had more shots than any other team that produced a result in 90 mins in this weeks replays
  19. Well it is just ridiculous analysis of the situation which is pretty realistic for a mid table team
  20. It is possible to leave the EU and remain in the customs union and single market that is soft Brexit but that would entail the free movement of labour but probably would be much better economically. It would really have been better if Cameron had given this speech last year so that people really understood what the options were. But I am with you I cannot see how it is politically possible to Brexit and still not be able to have our own trade deals and still have free movement of labour. You obviously think we can trade better with the whole world when we out of the EU than within if that is the case then you will be right but there is no real evidence for your point of view and a lot against it. Again with the UK there is little evidence that the economy after BREXIT will be in a better shape for all citizens than before and I think people's standard of living will fall including Pensioners in Europe who might not be guaranteed their pension increases in future coupled with the fact that their pensions are what 20% less than they were. But only time will tell just as time will tell how Saints will perform in the next few months
  21. The reality that you seem not to accept is the fact that UK has serious difficulties in competing in an open market, it has one of the lowest productivity in the EU, no commodities and hardly any manufacturing apart from foreign ones who are here for the single market But the future will not be as easy as you suggest I doubt the USA will allow us to compete on a level playing field to access their public sector in selling stuff which because of devaluation is relatively competitive and the UK Japanese car manufacturers are unlikely to be welcome there either but hey ho onward we go. Of course there is hope that we can succeed in the new era but it is only hope there is no real evidence it is going to happen rather like people saying in the past that SFC will be challenging for Champions League football just a hope not a reality.
  22. We were on a cusp of something special when Markus died what an earth does that mean seems the rantings of a delusional fan dont you realise that football success is built on getting in large amounts revenue most of the top clubs earn three times as much SFC. Yes Cortese was fired as he was spending too much and not increasing revenues but since his departure this has been reversed and the club is on a sound financial footing and has been pretty successful to boot the last three years have been probably one of the most successful in the clubs history. We have never won anything whilst in the top division of Englisf football and I dont really see why this will ever change it is financial muscle which counts and we dont have that against the top big city clubs but we did when we were up against the town clubs in League 1 What do you want the club to spend millions of money which is not yours to become financially unstable it is just not going to happen it is financially irresponsible
  23. What is wrong with being midtable We have midtable players a midtable stadium and midtable revenues Just think we are a midtable club
  24. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38636082 Chinese Super League reduces number of foreign players allowed to play
  25. I think your life will only be complete when you die as there is no chance of the EU breaking up
