  1. Fair comment but having supported the Saints from the Div3S days, my support for Saints is a given however I have never known us to be so outclassed at any time in my long association. That said I will be back next year without much expectation.
  2. Possible Draws Expected Losses Ipswich (A) Bournemouth (H) Brighton (H) Chelsea (A) Wolves (H) Liverpool (A) Palace (H) Spurs (A) Villa (H) Man City (H) W Ham (A) Arsenal (H) Fulham (H) Leicester (A) Everton (A) I am a a self confessed Negative Nellie but if the team cant get six draws or one win and three draws from 15 games that may be a scar that many will never recover from. Winning two games would be a minor miracle the way we are playing at the moment.
  3. I find that I am watching the clock at St Marys now to see how many minutes are left to ensure we dont concede any more goals. The VAR nonsense only papers over the fact that we have been totally outplayed for most of the games at St Marys this season. I give credit to the players for their efforts but they are just not good enough individually or as a group. I give credit to KWP and Fernandes who are bright lights in an otherwise dark experience. Aribo did OK today but upfront we were awful. It is interesting to see that our only win recently against a weaken Swansea side who got smashed b y Pompey and Cardiff and received another thumping today.
  4. I dont shop at Asda so difficult to make a comment on their customer service. However I wonder if things have changed since the Issa brothers have taken over?
  5. I have watched many 'keepers in my time as a Saints fan and Baz is far and away from the bottom of the pile and lets not forget he is in his early twenties and 'keepers do not generally reach their peak until they are in their late 20's/early thirties. I think the adverse comments on Baz are generally unfair. I believe he will turn out to be a good asset for us.
  6. Watched the game on the Chelsea stream. Good performance throughout the team
  7. I am a little wary of all the reports that historical burning of fossil fuels has caused extremes of weather as such occurrences have happened in the past. That said the weather in the UK, in my lifetime, has changed and is warming.
  8. Well I really enjoyed that, despite the adverts. Not sure how strong the Chelsea team was but our U21's really deserved the win. We had three golden opportunities to win the game and hit the woodwork three times versus Chelsea's two. Lots of decent football, a mixture between RussBall and longer passes. Good energy and a lot of good individual performances. Well done the youngsters.
  9. 2-0 up at HT. Saints playing really well. Young lad in goal looks good. Robinson and Amo Ameyaw look particularly impressive but good displays all round. Hope I have not hexxed it by my comments

  11. Spot on!!!
  12. I have a feeling that he may not last until he is 70. There will be plenty of people in prison who feel obliged to do him harm. Alternatively he might think life is not worth living incarcerated in his cell for long periods and having to avoid contact with others.
  13. It would be interesting to know the reason behind this. Perhaps?... 1. Sheff Weds agreed to throw a decent additional wedge into SR's coffers to allow Charles to stay at Hillsborough. 2. Chelsea were making noises about taking Big Les back due to Lavia's injury and Saints wanted Shea Charles back to fill the position of defensive midfielder. 3. Shea is happy in Sheffield and wanted to stay for the rest of the season. 4. Or, he was expecting to return as a 'bit part' here and preferred to play every week in the Championship. Food for thought.
  14. Speaking to a mate of mine who is a Hull fan, he reckoned Edwards was a class act for QPR in their game v Hull last night. Feel a bit sorry for Taylor as he was out in the cold with Russball and presumably is now third in line after Manning and Welington and possibly fourth (for the moment) with KWP able to fill in there too.
  15. Hopefully I can help clarify.my comment. I was making the point that without our better players such as Fernandes, Dibling, KWP,THB, Ramsdale, would the team be competitive in the Championship? So I was asking a question. Of course, it would be hoped that there will be a few players coming in to replace those leaving and that the likes of AA, Downes, Sugawara, Archer, Wood etc would feel more comfortable in the Championship. Perhaps the cup game v Burnley will provide a decent yardstick, if indeed, Burnley play a full strength side.
  16. By accounts he will be with us next week.
  17. Doesnt seem to have set the world alight in France. Just hope he may be another Fernandes level player.
  18. Valery, Rothwell and Shea Charles all with Saints connections. Big difference in the standard of football with Premiership but competitive and the question is will a Saints team devoid of a few better players be in the frame for another return to the Prem.
  19. Great player indeed but never forgive him for scoring the scrappy winner against us in the FA Cup Semi Final at Villa Park in 1963.
  20. I thought is was Nottingham (Nottm) Forest and Notts County??
  21. I wonder what the Saints playing staff made of our 19 year old £5m French defender. Hard to tell from clips but he looked a bit of a lummox.
  22. Must be nearly as gloomy being a Swans fan as us atm. Beaten 4-0 at Fratton Park, 3-0 by us and now 3-0 by their nearest rivals, all down to the RussBall type of play inherited by his successor(s)
  23. Tickets on sale to Season Ticket Holders next week. Let's hope for sensible pricing.
  24. No 11 on the team sheet has an 'L' of a problem😗
