  1. Easy, Nigel Pearson or Billy Davies are both the right answer. What do I win?
  2. That's it throbber - let's follow the lead of our finest and plant some stuff on him.
  3. Sorry: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4078741.Crouch__Why_I_proposed_changes/
  4. http://www.citywire.co.uk/personal/-/news/money-property-and-tax/content.aspx?ID=327311&re=4616&ea=145598 I wonder who he had in mind.
  5. Hi pheonix. Good to see you posting again. I find what you say very re-assuring. Do you know if Leon has any plans for a new manager when he returns? You should post on The Ugly Inside as well and spread the word! (http://www.clubfanzine.com/southampton/v2.forums.php)
  6. Quite .... and the Dutch experiment continues. Lowe doesn't make mistakes, it's just that the world doesn't always move in the way that he instructs it.
  7. More power to the little sparrows for their unfailing support. Sorry TF, not taking the urine - but it's been a bad 24 hours and you made me larff.
  8. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4070285.Protests_musts_be_peaceful__says_trust_chairman/ I see the Echo have changed the attribution of their quote from Steve Godwin earlier to Steve Grant. They must look alike. So is Steve Grant now back as a spokesman for the Trust?
  9. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4070285.Protests_musts_be_peaceful__says_trust_chairman/ Now I'm totally confused. I was under the impression that um pahars had long since resigned his post. I think we should be told.... Is Guided Missile going? If a few respected local business like him join the march Lowe would have to take note. It wouldn't just be the lunatic fringe, who by RL's definition are anyone who doesn't kiss his photo every morning.
  10. Presumably Aviva did a deal with Ipswich though as they used a CVA to come out of Admin according to that BBC News article?
  11. With respect that is more likely to be down to the 'Stanley out' contingent than the 'Lowe in' minority.
  12. No of course he was a Crouch appointee - my mistake.
  13. Perhaps a kind Full Member could start up a 'Jan Appreciation' thread please? He's obviously on his way. I'd like to give him my sympathy for being another perfectly decent bloke who has fallen victim to Lowe's system of appointing coaches into positions beyond their capabilities (Wrigley, Gray, Dodd etc ).
  14. Basic lust.
  15. Apparently he did stand up - 15 minutes before the end and left. I suppose he didn't want all those horrible customers being nasty to him.
  16. I'd make all potential purchasers pre-register by post. This would include signing a statement that they haven't smoked for 5 years, don't live in a caravan and agree that Enoch Powell was a fascist winker. The club is in dire straits but we don't need riff-raff at SMS do we?
  17. and when the alternative is a slow and painful death by gangrene from a fetid and infected chairman...?
  18. Have to say I prefer this one UP.:rolleyes:
  19. He seems arrogant enough to believe he can walk on water doesn't he? IF his great experiment had worked he'd have been a hero (perhaps). As it is A failed company is not going to look very good on his CV. Didn't all his money come from Daddy? Perhaps he's not quite as bright and business savvy as he'd like us to think he is.
  20. Quite agree. The reappearance of Lowe combined with the loss of Pearson must have cost an enormous amount in 'customer' goodwill imo.
  21. Aviva and Barclays may well not be the ones to put SLH into Administration. However the bank will have capped the overdraft and PAYE, VAT and salaries are paid in arrears. The club could feasibly get into the situation where they have reached the overdraft limit and are relying on player sales this month to meet tax, VAT and wage bills. If that did happen it would probably be HMRC who called in the bailiffs.
  22. Yup and I disagreed with you in the past in the vain hope that JP might just do the business (although I'd have preferred Pearson or Billy Davies any day of the week.) My guess is that the bank are happy to take the extra income from today's match and whatever they can get from player sales this month and then the shutters will come down. I can see no financial reason for them to continue to back us when we continue to lose money week by week and clearly there is no chance of the situation changing in the near future.
