Hurrah! etc. But will we ever join? In my book, although we should, having a policy of joining the single currency would quite possibly be political suicide for any of the major parties at the moment, and I can't even see the debate starting up again within the next 5 years. Is the biggest question: Will anyone be able to convince the British public that the Euro is good?

If we spent money on some proper high-speed rail links and reduced the market for totally unncessary domestic flights then Heathrow would have no business case for it's 3rd runway.

You have changed your tune.

This is what I was thinking earlier. I do not celebrate my birthday and aside from my family (and I guess my employer as it is on a form somewhere), no-one knows when it is and hence I can get through it without many problems.

Ah ha, so we have found one of the annoying people that sits down at away games. Please do not turn up to anyway unless you are: a) Prepared to stand b) Going to sit near the front, not go as near the back as possible and then sit down and then complain because people are standing up.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7825802.stm Let's hope there are enough Labour MPs to be able to block this plan. Also, I see some protestors (including Emma Thompson and Alistair McGowan) have bought a bit of land which the Government/BAA would need to buy to go ahead with expansion. Some extra fun and games - but what we actually need is the right decision - no 3rd runway.

If you had clicked on the link in my original posting, you would know that the others are Part and Terry Jenkins!! Do pay attention, sir!

Good f*cking riddance. I have not one positive thing to say about that moron.

I agree they've picked Mardle for entertainment value and TV etc, but I just think there are more deserving players. Andy Hamilton is missing out, yet he has been one of the on form players this year, and made the Grand Slam final in 2007. Do the PDC think Klaasen is a bigger draw than he actually is? Are they picking him because he throws quickly? Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against him, but just have no idea why he's involved in this tournament ahead of more deserving others.

http://www.planetdarts.tv/page/PremierLeagueDetail/0,,10180~1514711,00.html Well, there it is, the 8 players we will see week-in, week-out from Feb 5th. I have to say, I think the inclusion of Klaasen is a joke. Sure, he's improving, but he's still 25th in the world, for crying out loud, and I don't recall him doing anything fantastic in any of the major tournaments since joining the PDC. Robert Thornton has been in the PDC less than a year and is in the top 20 (15th I think) having started at number 132 - he is more deserving of a place. Or what about Adrian Lewis who has beaten big names on TV this year (including Barney), has played in the PL and is 7th in the world by a whisker thus just missing automatic qualification. Am not convinced Mardle deserves to be involved either. Oh well, I will still be watching!

I'm pretty sure all the betting sites show it.

I think you'll find that that team survived relegation on the last day of the season.

That is rather excellent. However, I bet in the USA they could find a doctor who would actually conduct the procedure as well!
-
Surely if she'd done it on purpose she would have been arrested and charged, therefore I really have to wonder what the point of this is!
-
That would also have been an interesting news story.

No, lots of biscuit selections, some pastries, some hot cross buns(!) and a tub of celebrations.

We have lots of cake etc in the office at the moment, so I didn't want to fill up on sandwich.

Bizarrely enough, I just noticed that reading through the thread this time, and then got to your comment!

I can confirm that I am a young person and shop in M&S. Part of this is because I am too fat to buy trousers in Next (they stop at a 38" waist, y'know). However, I don't often buy clothes, so they don't get that much money out of me. I did buy one of their cheese & onion sandwiches for lunch today, however.
