  1. Also, LGA figures on Council shortfalls due to Government underfunding of national scheme: http://www.lga.gov.uk/lga/core/page.do?pageId=278865
  2. In some places, but not in all. For example, note this change in 2006: http://www.ringwood.gov.uk/Local_Services/Public-Transport/News/Free-bus-travel-for-over-60s-and-disabled.html
  3. Nope, you are totally wrong. When this came in a couple of years ago it was just in the region, but last year it was made national. The original settlement was poor, but of course you could only notice that after a year of take up.
  4. Wouldn't be an issue if central Government had given local Council's a proper settlement. Instead they have shafted local Council's into either a) having to raise Council Tax or b) cutting other services to pay for this government initiative.
  5. I think the problem stems from the fact we have overspent in the past couple of years. I believe that once we have got our house in order again then we will be able to spend a bit more. Other CCC clubs probably have a lower turnover, but are on a much more sound financial footing and so can spend a bit more.
  6. Women are often not prepared for the cashpoint either. If there is a queue then you can see men stand there, get the appropriate card out of their wallet and are ready to go. Women just stand there, then place their bag on the edge of the machine, then have to rummage through it for purse, then purse for card etc etc. FACT.
  7. I'm not sure how 2 goals in 5 minutes from individual mistakes by senior pros constitutes being "caught napping". Heads dropped after that, but they did get themselves back into the game.
  8. Friday - Went out with sunday football team. Was shattered as on Thursday I'd watched NFL until 5am. Got home at midnight. Saturday - Got up at half 6. Went to Burnley (train cancelled due to flooding, took two hours to get from Bath - Chippenham, made Burnley at 2pm!). Got home by 10 and watched Klitschko vs Hasbeen Rahman. Sunday - Played football. Went to pub. Watched rugby and NFL. Rating: 6/10
  9. Funny thing was Schneiderlin was wearing gloves and put in one crunching tackle (I believe he got booked) and the bloke near us continued to have a go at him for wearing gloves! I just don't see the reasoning. And he started the abuse at 0-0 as well!
  10. That helped also, but Euell up top was clearly not working.
  11. There were at least 3 near me. One took about 15 seconds and then a continous tirade of abuse at (I think) BWP just for wearing gloves.
  12. Have to say, I thought Euell playing upfront in 1st half was a massive mistake. He couldn't get involved in the game, and didn't really have any input. Swopping him and McGoldrick in 2nd half was a big factor in changing the game. Always, what is it with the idiot fans we have who abuse players for wearing gloves?!
  13. Two senior pros make two mistakes which cose us goals inside first five minutes. Young heads drop. But young heads got us back into the game in the 2nd half. How you legislate for senior pros making elementary mistakes I'm not sure. I am becoming increasingly worried by the performances of Chris Perry. Playing Euell up front in first half was a mistake.
  14. Yes, of course.
  15. Billy Davies is a vile c*nt, and is not welcome at this football club.
  16. And curry stained vest.
  17. Saints team crap. Saints concede 5 goals (admittedly 1st one was penalty KD gave away, but still) Fans shout abuse at Davis as he is 'keeping in front of away fans in 2nd half as goals rain in Kelvin swears at fans. Two days later Kelvin "apologies" on OS.
  18. I did that once, but the remote control wasn't compatible with the mirror and so the same damn thing was always on.
  19. I bought that film for £3 on dvd having been told it was funny. It was not funny in any way. At no point did I laugh.
  20. It was a shame he apologised. It was the fans who were out of order that day, not him.
  21. Beer. I will be outside the pub before it opens banging on the door.
  22. The have always said that the away kit would be one year only. Agree with it or not, they didn't keep it secret.
  23. Yeh, I buy it every so often. It's a good initiative and at least gives homeless people a chance to earn some money in the hope of getting their lives back together.
  24. Last night: Got up at 1am, watched NFL. Back to bed at 5, in work at 9. Tonight: Xmas beers with Sunday football team Tomorrow: Burnley Sunday: Play football, die a slow and painful tiredness related death.
  25. Idiakez played very well for us - in the play-off season let us not forget that our best run of form in the autumn coincided with him partnering Jhonny V in the centre of the park. Shame his body wasn't up to it anymore, but that's no reason to hate him.
