  1. Tonight: Stay in and watch darts Tomorrow: Saints v Forest, then watch darts Sunday: Play football, watch darts and NFL Monday: Last day at work Tuesday: Go to the darts.
  2. Starts tonight, 7pm on Sky Sports. Best sporting event of the Christmas period by some distance. Tough to look past Phil Taylor after the form he has been in this season, and the fact he is doubly motivated having not won it either of the last 2 years. Don't think Kirk Shepherd will make the final again. A good outsider bet might be Mark Dudbridge, who has made finals before and seems to have picked up a bit of form as well. Any other tips? Anyone going to the Ally Pally for a session?
  3. Bush signs for sock.
  4. Bradford did a scheme this year where if a certain number of people put money down for a ST then it would be that price (I think it may have been 10k at £150, but don't quote me on it). They sold them at League 2 level. I'd love to see more clubs do that. For example if Saints said at £200-250 we need 16k ST holders, it would be interesting to see if we got the required number of people. Considering the amount of spare capacity we have, I'd love to see us have a go.
  5. 14. I am the Champion.
  6. Best so far is 12. At least I am better than my arch enemy JohnnyFartPants.
  7. Not as silly as Fair Oak. What's "Fair" about it, FFS.
  8. Amazing. It's tough to believe it's true.
  9. I'm going to take a wild, stab-in-the-dark guess that you lived there between those years.
  10. None of it is as good as the mighty county of Dorset.
  11. I have family there.
  12. I have never been. Is it that bad? I only ever frequent Chandler's Ford and Hedge End.
  13. Brilliant post.
  14. Speedway's heydey was certainly in the 60s and 70s. Certainly it is not as popular nationally now, but we are getting a few more tracks opening again. Exeter are coming back, and there is talk of a Bristol team again. Would be great if Southampton could find somewhere to ride again, could have a proper South coast derby with Poole then!
  15. Crazy. Might have a small flutter just for fun (and then lose).
  16. You arrange a best of 5,000 legs darts match, and I'll give it a go.
  17. Hitler signs for cake.
  18. Still a gambler then Rut?!
  19. Reading this thread it makes it very clear that: The vast majority of our fans are total morons. I feel justified in reaching this conclusion, and no doubt Gordon Mockles, alpine and the like will go and have a big cry and come out with their usual foul-mouthed abuse. To call a Saints fan a "PR Plant" is a disgrace. The level of debate on this forum is so low that there is barely a point to having a forum anymore. And that is totally the fault of complete idiots like alpine, Wes, Gordon Mockles, Arizona etc etc.
  20. Jason Doyle and Joe Screen (!) now confirmed, leaving 3.64 left to play with. This is annoying as I wanted Suchecki back, but he is on 3.65. The rumour is Carl Stonehewer to double up.
  21. I'm not sure I'd be able to drink continuously through a match that long!
  22. Am supposed to finish at close of play on Tuesday 23rd, but have taken that day off as I am going to the darts at the Ally Pally. Return on 5th January.
  23. When he or she crossed the regional boundary before the national bus pass, they would have had to have paid for that journey. Now they don't have to. Also, the journey is paid IN FULL by the local authority where that journey began, regardless of it it goes through 1, 2 or 17 different areas. And, once again, I refer you to the figures provided by the LGA.
  24. I'll direct you to my figures provided by the LGA. As an anecdote, when I was watching Poole speedway up at Swindon last year I met this old guy from Bournemouth who had travelled up on the bus. It turned out he travelled the country by bus and sometimes coach watching cricket, speedway and boxing (he had travelled to Birmingham for an Amir Khan fight specifically to see a Bournemouth boxer who was on the undercard!). I thought that was pretty awesome. Anyway, I think the answer to how many people is going to be a darn lot more than you think. I mean, people going from Ringwood to Bournemouth will be entering a different county. As will people going Bath to Bristol. How many examples like that do you think there are across the country? A fair few I reckon. And that's without people maybe travelling for an hour to go to a different big town/city.
  25. The government.
