  4. You have ruined two of my bets, O'Bee!
  5. Actually, the American term "Gas" is more accurate than the UK term 'petrol'. The part of oil used to make your car run is "Gasoline" and "Gas" is merely a shortened version of this word.
  6. Today's wonderful tips. 1.30 Tinakellylad 2.05 Reve de Sivola 4.00 Silk Affair 4.40 Bothy e/w yankee 2.40 Punchestowns win 3.20 Kalahari King e/w 5.15 Al Ferof e/w
  7. The only way out of this is loads of money on Big Buck's on Thursday!
  8. Good race. Return to form for Binoculor. Plenty of contenders, but some of the well-backed horses nowhere in the final running.

  10. Again, the motoring lobby likes to ignore the fact that the cost of motoring has gone DOWN 13% since 1997. This is compared to an INCREASE for public transport users. Motorists have rarely had it so good, yet all they want to do is whinge. The motoring lobby is too powerful, and it is high-time motorists were ignored.
  11. A great start to the festival!
  12. Well, let's hope we can't both be wrong on all 6 races!
  13. Well, as a driver you are lucky as things are now cheaper for you. If you had to use the train you would be paying more in real terms.
  14. Never mind. At least the real terms cost of motoring has gone DOWN since 1997. The all-powerful motoring lobby always gets the best deal, but always whinges.
  15. Last night I watched the repeat of the opening race of the Indy Car season, from the new street circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil. What a truly excellent race it was. Nose-to-tail stuff, plenty of over taking and lead changes, and even a ridiculous rain storm! The last two years in F1 were pretty entertaining, but much more like Sunday and I will soon be switching my attentions to the other side of the pond (and Moto GP).
  16. Right, today's bets: 1.05 Oscar Whiskey e/w on Paddy Power as per earlier in thread 2.05 Captain Cee Bee 4.00 Garde Champatre win double 2.40 The Package 3.20 Go Native 4.40 Voler La Vedette Patent Actually hoping Zaynar wins the 3.20 as have him in ante-post double with Punchestowns tomorrow.
  17. One Vision. Perhaps if enough people vote for it they will bring it back at SMS?! Every time I hear it, it reminds me of The Dell. I'm amazed it's one of the 3 options!
  18. Good advice on the paddypower bet, I will be doing that. In the 2.40 I like The Package. Can't argue with Captain Cee Bee.
  19. Oh good. Another thread where the OP decides to ignore the fact that tickets won't be sent out until 15th March i.e. today!
  20. Did you have a kebab?
  21. As I was out yesterday day time, I had a choice in the evening between the F1 or the Indy Car. Clearly I should have picked the Indycar. What a bore that Grand Prix truly was.
  22. Sure thing. You'll have to spot me. Usually get on train at very front door.
  23. Any move to the middle of nowhere with no decent pubs nearby would be a load of crap. Coventry is one of the worst places to go and watch football, and the new Colchester ground is in the middle of nowhere. Days out at Reading are ruined by the location of the Madejski.
  24. The 10.23 one (10.36 at Baaaath).
  25. bungle

    Leeds pub

Why would you subject yourself to that?
