The lack of real ale was the worst part of the day. The kebab from Birmingham on the way home was a big high point of the day. A truly excellent kebab. Wogan winning the 3.25 at Doncaster at 5/1 was the highlight of the day.

Yes, I am always on that particular train. Oh, what fun we have. And by fun, I mean reading the race card.
-
No, I got off the same train as your group and was exiting the station at the same time, hence I overheard the cab-related conversion as I walked past. I was thinking of calling you a "fat b*stard", but that would only have delayed my trip to the pub.

'Tis be a cruel world.

Will you buy me a pie if I do?

I saw Stu last Saturday before the Walsall game. He was getting a taxi (well, there were two, one for a group of four, one for a group of three), presumably to the pub. Perhaps if you walked to the pub things wouldn't be so bad? All the very best.

I am having a nice pub crawl of Rock Ferry area. It will be excellent.

Feck orf. That stuff should be banned.

If they get rid of 6 music, they have to use radio 1 and 2 to showcase some of the stuff that was on 6 music. Radio 1 is dire, anyway - that is surely the station copied by the commercial sector. So why not get rid of that? FWIW, I generally listen to Radio 5.

Depends what casserole it is. Possibly some broccoli? Crusty bread a must.

'Curly Wurly', I believe.

Not sure about your last part. I'm not sure Waigo is much good playing wide midfield in a 4-4-2, more suited to 4-5-1. Have seen Antonio play on the left, and think he would be capable. I think my point is that last year many used phrases such as the title of this post "tactically inept" to describe playing left-footer on the right, etc. But I think we see that it can be very good tactically to do this.

An exciting event. Not sure why it had to happen on a Wednesday afternoon in school term, but never mind. A fair few people out in Queen's Square. Might even have some exciting photos of the event, shortly.

Indeed, they are both very good players and do swap around, although largely Puncheon is on the right and Lallana the left. I just find it, shall we say, 'interesting' that last season one of the main topics of conversation was that we could never play well with the "wrong-footed" winger on each wing. Perhaps, in fact, we can now see that this isn't as important as some people at the time thought?
-
I notice that we now have left-footed Puncheon on the right, and right-footed Lallana on the left and everybody seems happy.

Dead baby jokes?

I have to say, I didn't think it was him, thought it was an assistant. Thought Clark turned to applaud their fans and then just wandered off. His post-match comments don't sound like those of a manager who thanked his players for their effort. http://www.htafc.com/page/PostMatchComments/0,,10312~1982391,00.html

Excellent idea.

Union occasionally played at Walkers Stadium when Leicester Tigers have a big game. One game a year of Rugby League at Old Trafford, and one at Elland Road, too!

Scotland still has a 10 minute half time break, I believe. Or the Scottish football league does, at least.

My worst was last season, Cheltenham Town scoring a 95th minute equaliser away at Brighton which cost me £650.
