  1. Yeh - I'm getting restricted view only option. Concerning.
  2. LINK
  3. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10019955.Famous_Sotonians_to_be_honoured_with__statues_/ New art project in Southampton, three local people to be honoured with steel sculptures of themselves, and Soton people choose who it is. Matt Le Tiss is on the shortlist. Time to vote etc
  4. For City they sent all of our group of tickets each to the individual season ticket holder. This was annoying.
  5. So, amazingly, the ticket website worked perfectly for me. I logged in and could only buy for the linked accounts that went to City. The other accounts weren't able to view. I didn't purchase any tickets, as thought I'd wait as they are probably selling from front or something. However, friend has had very different experience!
  6. There were more empty seats than that!
  7. Wrong yet again. Oh so wrong.
  8. Actually the Singha in the stadium is brewed under license in Germany and imported from there.
  9. Definitely Kleber Chala, as mentioned above. An excellent warm-up at Derby away was the sum total of his impact on first-team affairs.
  10. This is rare: I wholeheartedly agree with you on this point. At back end of last season, Connolly's intelligent movement, ability to create space in a crowded defence & good finishing really played a vital role in getting us across the line. I can't help but feel that there would have been a couple of games recently where we could have done with him in last 30 minutes. I think we'll get there regardless, but had he been fit I think we'd be up.
  11. Fairly certain that no points are awarded until the conclusion of matches. Therefore, we were officially top of the league between 9.39 and 9.55pm on Tuesday.
  12. Good potential for a nice Thursday night away trip to Blackpool or Middlesbrough, there. Excellent.
  13. Pretty good game going on in Detroit at the moment, between two undefeated teams (admittedly with 158 games to play after this one!). Watched the opening game from Japan, but this is the first game I've been able to watch since. Too early to form much of an opinion on where teams are going, but it does seem the Red Sox pitching staff is not where they might want it to be.
  14. *their/there balls up
  15. Just booked into a hostel in York (cheapskate, but m3h - also meant could stay only one night), so we're driving up to their and getting the train which is about £12 for day return. Sounds like there could be a few of us about after. If anyone from westcountry wants lift (from Cheltenham) then let us know. Can provide link to hostel, but you're more than welcome to find a hotel if you want!
  16. Giants fan by virtue of going to 2 games in the autumn of the 2010 World Series winning season. Before that sort of half-followed the Mets, but really just liked watching it. But then went to watch San Fran and got right into the buzz and had to support them, really. Had MLB.tv for a bit but not worth the cost now as can't stay up until 3am enough times to make it worthwhile. Got ESPN America, though, so will be watching plenty of ball.
  17. Certainly am. Got a lifted sorted for that one. You aren't actually going to a game, are you?
  18. That Equatorial Guinea v Senegal game last night was a Cup of Nations classic, and what a strike to send the home nation and minnows through to the quarter-finals. Cracking stuff.
  19. Thanks for replies so far. I'm keen to do Blackpool in a day if poss, so if anyone is considering it and wants to split fuel then do let me know. Sorted for Leeds!
  20. Just tried ringing it and no answer!
  21. Hey Tony, only just spotted this. Looks like you're Amesbury way, might be tricky now. Will settle for watching on telebox.
  22. My usual lift can't go due to illness, so trying to avoid last minute expensive train fare return to Bath (can get down there ok). If you are driving back to Bath area after game then leave a reply and I'll pop my e-mail address onto thread. Don't want to leave it up here all day, for obvious reasons.
  23. Reports that police are using tear gas on crowds trying to enter stadium for opening match in Bata.
  24. Yes, Ba isn't guaranteed a start, he hasn't been in the first XI for the majority of qualifying. Have taken the 11/2 on offer on Senegal, I think that is excellent value. Was tempted by Angola and Mali, but the latter have two key players out injured and they have had interesting preparation, as outlined above. Group winners accumlater of Senegal, Angola, Tunisia and Mali. Not surprised colinjb has no knowledge of tournament, he's rarely shown much knowledge of football over the years.
  25. Rosler #11 Telfer #33 (on European shirt)
