  1. Consistently wrong though eh? That Burley stance was laughable.
  2. Maybe it was him then. Hard to remember, you fellas with your alt accounts and frequent name changes, it's so hard to keep up. So apologies for my poor memory. Glasgow, what made you do that 180 then LOL or are you just a contrarian?
  3. Just out of interest, why did you do the 180? Back in your Delldays era, you were what you'd call a "club apologist". I particularly remember you using cherry picked stats to defend George Burley. Something like "ONLY 2 defeats in 13" when we'd drawn 10 of those 13 games. What was it the broke the camels back. Who ****ed on your strawberries?
  4. If you listen to the resident experts we already have too many players and should just play the same 11 all year with no rotation. We don't need any more.
  5. Better with emoticons IMO. Like this:
  6. Why bother then having a team or supporting a team if we shouldn't play in each of the competitions out there for us. Here's an example of your logic. Hmm, it is a proven fact that the best marathon runners are the lightest. Therefore if I remove a bit of weight I will be lighter and run faster. Might as well then chop off my fingers and ears, that'll take a bit of weight off and therefore improve my race time.
  7. And in 3rd place in outfield minutes Redmond. So by your reckoning, nice and settles in the side as he is, he should have been stellar this season. Yet he is the whipping boy on matchday with the likes of you and your merry band of alt egos.
  8. Forster also played a lot of minutes. Not played as well as last year. Should we be rotating goalies?
  9. Has happened many times when you can see that a player isn't giving his all and is trying to force the hand of the club management.
  10. Right! So if they score then drawing the game is totally off the table, we will have to win to progress. Hopefully we can score a couple early to ease the (mainly us on here) nerves.
  11. Agreed. The players have all the power. If we try and keep the likes of VVD to his contract and he has a strop about it then what? It'll affect the whole team as well as those who might be on our shopping list. Imagine that, a player as high profile as VVD in a strop and us trying to persuade players to sign. It'd be ****ing suicide.
  12. I don't think there is a long list. I'd say: Forster Fonte Those that have improved: Romeu Austin VVD Those that have been roughly the same: Davis Tadic JWP Martina Those that have been injured Cedric Bertrand Long Targett JRod Those that didn't play here (or in first team) last season: Boufal Hojbjerg Sims McCarthy McQueen Hesketh Redmond
  13. LOL. You link a thread that you got absolutely panned in. Good going there.
  14. He's missed some absolute sitters including an open goal vs Arsenal. How is that Puel's fault? Saturday he had a headed chance that he should have buried, I jumped up off the sofa only to see him manage to head the ball back away from the goal. He is chronically low on confidence, having a bad time with knocks/injuries but that's got nothing to do with Puel. Is this your new routine; long list of players v.poor under Puel? Who is on this "long" list compared to last season?
  15. It's pretty simple really. With a squad our size/quality some games are going to be stinkers due to looking ahead or fatigue. Heck, we used to look at the fixtures and say "sweet Man C play us between their home and away against X in the champs, their heads will be elsewhere" or "Everton playing us 3 days after an away tie in Europe, will be tired". We got a lot of points off the back of teams playing in Europe before/after us. Same is true when the shoe is on the other foot. As a chubby Dutchman once said "thatssssshhhh football".
  16. It's a misnomer, he proves that time and time again.
  17. Now that is a well balanced post devoid of agenda. Excellent. We definitely need to dip into the market for a striker.
  18. But they only made 2 changes so they must be leading the prem...
  19. By that logic Swansea must have smashed someone today...oh
  20. Took our eyes off the ball today, maybe the Be'er game is a distraction. Huge huge game that.
  21. All the jizzing from our resident trolls probably spoiled a few clean sheets today...
  22. I remember when you likened Mane to Dia.
  23. That's the thing though. When teams ship goals, they can't do it forever. Like us a few years ago, we took a pasting and took it really personally and came out with a much tighter defence. It's just a shame it was against us. We haven't helped matters today, some of the decision making has been awful.
