I understand your point, but your facts aren't right about Burnley as their stadium was modern when they declined. Hillborough wasn't exactly modern when Wednesday went down, but it was still used for FA cup semi finals - look at it now! St Marys may be modern now (ignore the rust) but in a decade it'll be showing it's age - modern stadiums like all modern builds aren't built to last!

In 30 years time we'll be telling stories about how we were once a top flight club, much in the same way pensioners do in Blackpool and Burnley when they reminiss about the good old days. I can see no way back for us for many many years to come.

Speaking for myself i'm getting bored of Southampton Football Club and all the shenanigans. I still care, but not as much as i used to, and all the off the field nonsense has really taken it's toll. Demos and Marches are all well and good, but it's apathy that will put the final nail into the clubs coffin imo. Our declining attendances show that more and more people are reaching the "past caring" breaking point.

I disagree with you about these marches being pointless. They keep us united and focussed on removing Lowe and Wilde and bring like minded people together. They keep the issue on the agenda. On their own they might not have a great effect on Lowe and his cronies but their continuation will act as a catalyst for more effectual actions.
