when the time has been finalised, the discussions with skate over pricing and the say so of the OB have all been finalised. Don't be surprised if ticket prices rocket to £28 or even £30, keep the riff raff out like;)
-
only 8K taking up 2 tickets for Skates?? I very much doubt that. There will be a black market for tickets and everybody knows it. The OB will ask the club for extra controls on ticket sales and that can't be if every ST holder has a chance to buy an extra ticket and dispose of it as he or she wishes. It worked for united last year because we had far less STs and we were crap,we still got a full house. It being Skates changes everything. So don't be too disappointed if you just get your 1 guaranteed (by the charter) seat and have to scrap for the extras like everyone else.
-
doubt it to be honest because there are too many STs in existence for it to be viable.Perhaps adult ST holders will have a chance to buy 2 but they won't let it happen for Junior STs, doesn't make economic sense really. The OS says there are in excessof 12500 sts,500 or so more may get sold this week so proposing 13000+x2 places plus nearly 5K to skates just won't work because of the segregation that there will have to be, boxes, hospitality etc.

our midfield will look nothing like that. I doubt that Gillett will ever start another game for us, AP would rather start the tea lady in midfield.

Must have at least 2 and a half seasons left, I think his contract was four years starting in June 2008,might even be 5 years though. -
In fact we probably now have too many ST holders for them to be offered the chance of buying 2 tickets for the cup game. The maths just wouldn't work out because we will have to give Pompey at least 4880 tickets. So it'll be 1 for each ST, about 4.8K for Pompey thus leaving 12/13K for general sale, prioritised of course for regulars.
-
I disagree, we are a good side, trouble is a lot of League 1 sides hustle far too much for us. We are too cultured for League 1. Leeds beat Utd and drew with Spurs, there isn't a vast gulf between the Prem and League 1 in one off games. I think Pompey's africans will just freeze up at SMS,especially if they haven't been paid, which is pretty likely isn't it. Coventry rattled them in the first FA cup game and we will as well.
-
the play-offs are pretty improbable anyway, beating the skates and winning the JPT would be reasonable solace-for this season.

Having watched Arsenal "reserves" yesterday afternoon I just couldn't believe just how useless all their "ones for the future" were. Just complete junk every one of them, even Theo was lamentable.I could still see Arsene being interested in Morgan in the summer because what he has in reserve obviously has no aptitude for top level football. -
if 12500 STs take two each plus 4800 for Pompey, free range tickets will be fairly scarce. They will make a killing on hospitality because they'll probably be the only places freely available.
-
nope it will be a flexible 442 most of the time. all this talk of replacing Mellis leads me to think that one at least of our real midfielders will leave as soon as we make a new signing.Otherwise it just doesn't make any sense when we already have Lallana,Morgan,Hammond,James,Waigo,Holmes and Antonio plus eventually Wotton ,Gobern and Gillett for 4 places. To me we're just signing players and not managing the outgoings from the squad very well
-
not really AP says we haven't replaced Mellis yet and that we will be doing so. We already have far too many midfield players on the squad.Assuming that the new guy will be a decent player it means that it'll be 4 out of about 8 or 9 in midfield for every game. That's not ideal really as there is no cohesion from match to match.Successful sides have a stable engine room.
-
Of course AP has been saying good things about him, nevertheless the "first team squad" is really getting top heavy and AP keeps on saying it needs to be reduced. It's players who are actually worthy of a game that will leave not the down and outs because most of them have already had a loan this season and as far as I can understand that rules out another move for 5 or 6 players for this season unless they return to the same club.
-
don't know about players leaving, with this silly 2 club rule we're running out of options really,Saga,Holmes maybe
-
No it's 5 days before because we will play Skates on Sunday-count on it.
-
depends if they can repair the tandem in time
-
nah we'll get Chelsea away
-
can't jump any more. He's not really Sol Campbell he's a cardboard cutout. Maybe he needs a few games to get back to the pace, maybe he never will.
-
pity, their "reserves" were atrocious today, it was Fabregas vs Stoke all the other "starlets" were complete rubbish.
-
so as he's played for 2 clubs already this season that makes it impossible for him to go on loan again this season other than to Grimsby, right? or not Gillett the same
-
In fact Skates at SMS is probably about the easiest draw that we can hope for. I wouldn't much fancy our chances against any of the remaining teams away (except Reading) unless of course Notts County beat Wigan in their replay or S****horpe beat Citeh.
-
wouldn't be surprising really, he can't do anything with a load of crap like Ipswich. Even Sir Alex or Wenger would struggle with them.
-
of course we would, we always do, especially if they don't get paid again at the end of the month.
-
well probably not, but it was an unfortunate time to come on all ther same. No time to get his bearings before Ipswich started beating on us. Still we have to save Jaidi and Perry for the next cup round because Lancashire is far far too risky against whatever good side we'll be playing.
