We should just tell them all to foak off (see what I did there) and start again with all the charity cash, a new young team in the conference or something and a ground share with Eastleigh or Totton. How can he be offered a contract when we don't know how much longer we'll be in existence? It just doesn't make any sense.Unless he can be got on some sort of apprentice/YOP scheme where the taxpayer pays him.

All out of contract players are "free" transfers, ie no transfer fee is paid. They're not usual free for the acquiring club though as a signing on fee is very much par for the course.

No-one should have turned up at St Mary's or bought any clobber. That would have kept our tax bill down. 75K at St Marys=approx 300K in VAT,plus VAt on booze,pies,shirts, curtains and whatever have you.Wouldn't be surprised if they taxed the bucket collections as well, bunch of robbin bustards.Government will only waste it on handouts to illegal immigrants anyway.

But Kevin we aren't actually any sort of option. We're in administration with massive debts and no secure future. There will be no signings until our very existence is confirmed. all speculation about signings is just a waste of time just now.Right now Brentford or Millwall or Swindon Town are better options because they'll still be there next season for sure.

But it wasn't so great as to accept it on the spot either was it? If the first offer had been any good it would have been accepted, it wasn't so that tells us a lot about it. I mean why would people want to buy the club,it won't interest serious investors because there's no money to be made and a big debt to be tackled. It's got to be people who are interested in Saints football and those aren't legion. We've been looking for investment for 3 years now and haven't found much.
