But the whole point is that (as far as I remember) they were in the CCC when Quinn et al took over and then they did it in style to get to the promised land, ie the Premier League where, no matter how mediocre you may be, there's still money to be made. Appointing Keane was inspired,although it all went tits up afterwards,the whole point is getting to the Premier,then you can sell the club for a handsome return,unless you've got a crap stadium and no fans like Pompey.Once you're there and have had a brush with relegation then that's the time to cash in and not wait too late.

July 1-Jan 31 is 7 months at say 38K a month=266K for 9 goals so that's roughly and in the region of 30K a goal isn't it.Add on some NHS charges and stuff and you're probably looking at more than 40K a goal.
