It really does depend on how you go about it Sue and Euro. If they think they're dealing with a foreigner they play you for every cent they can get. If they think they're dealing with someone who can really cause them grief then they are usually most obliging. Got my latest speeding ticket dropped at the prefecture only yesterday, questioned the exact angle of the radar in the vehicle, they couldn't prove that it was exactly at 22 degrees so they had no case.

Surely it can't haunt you that much, why would he choose Pinnacle? knowing that MLT is a friend of Lynam to get "god on his side"? I really do doubt it. I don't care who it is as long as it's one man,not a hotch potch of self made, autodictact millionaires who know nothing about the outside world except how to sell tackyboard houses to starving peasants on the never never.Bloke could have robbed stagecoaches, banks or swindled the money out of some banana republic for all I care. The fact that he's giving it to us makes him Robin Hood in my eye.

Can't you get Pinnacle to pay your fiver? Surely that would be a fine investment for them.

for such market research as that I do hope the new owners would be willing to make a handsome donation to our favourite forum in return. Anyway by studying the "how much would you donate to save our club" thread , first and second version you might notice vast discrepancies in the responses once you have to virtually sign your name to your response.

I'd say Mr X may be trying to get the job done as cheaply as possible yes, I am not inspired by Pinnacle or MLT for that matter. At Portsmouth it's different, they have a structure in place, they can hire and fire (no doubt running it by the incoming team first),they can pay their salaries, they have some sort of manager in place,in brief there's time for it to happen down there. In another 15 days or so our salaries will be due again, who's going to pay them this time if Pinnacle don't come through?

Alpine and I bioth have the advantage of living in continental europe where anything is possible if you: a )have the money to pay for what you want done quickly done b) know where to apply a good arse kicking to move things into overdrive.Across the channel it's straightforward, if something isn't happening very fast it's because it's being deliberately slowed down or you don't need for it to be done fast.

What I was meaning to say Toadhall was that when you're buying a company in administration you must be expecting to find a fair amount of crap swept under the carpet. If the affair was brilliantly run then you wouldn't be getting a 32 million 8 year old stadium ,a football team not long ago in the premier League,a training ground, some odds on sods of real estate and a bargain basement bank overdraft of only 4 million £ for a measly 15 million (or whatever) The affair has obviously been badly run and you're going to find something nasty in the woodshed ,you don't need to look at 200 or so individual contracts of employment to know that. It's time wasting, why ? who knows I certainly don't.If it was now May 9th and not June 9th it wouldn't matter so much but the pre-season is almost upon us and if the Pinnacle group are serious about getting it together and doing exciting things then I think it wouldnt do them any harm to turn up the turbo a bit and get the f*ck on with it.Anything is possible if you have the means at your disposal.

Opening Game off the Season Sweepstake

I'm sure she'll be chuffed to know that you only visit when Saints are playing Swindon then,it's only about what 60 miles if that. -
But as no-one seems to be naming Mr Money-Man and it appears that he wants to remain "anonymous" if that's even allowed we might not even know who is behind the deal anyway. If it goes udders up Mr Lynam just has to say Mr Mystery Man pulled out, no-one will ever be the wiser really. That's why I don't like all this locked in secrecy, too big a scope for maximus bullsh*tus, not that I suspect anyone of doing it of course.Crouch was a real downer for me and it made me doubt...that's all.I want a clean sweep, 1 owner, 1 management team competent in football, otherwise it's just Secure Retirement all over again.

Great, 2 months off and they're knackered already. Hope there are no 'Peter Wells" who came back about 3 stone overweight.

The right to act all smug and "ITK" on this very forum for a few days. Not that some need to win any prediction contest to do that of course. -

9th August ? then there's the JPT trophy first round on the 16th,then there should be another game on the weekend of 22/23.May even be a mid-week game in there as well. -
The players return on the 22nd of June, not next week at all. Trust the Echo, can't even get a simple thing like that right. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8089055.stm

Leeds away. Which we will lose due to an improper preparation, due to the buy out taking too f*cking long. -
For the first 3 or 4 games there will be euphoria, may get 20+K, then it depends what our team looks like, how they are playing, away support and how much it costs.I fully expect us to get 12K+ ST sales if the price is £320/£360.

Indeed, I wish I could convince myself that Mr BigbuX actually exists and that the Pinnacle consortium (even though Mr Lynam says otherwise) isn't a hotch potch of local "millionaires" scrabbling about for loose change down the back of sofas.I was happy enough with it all, until L Crouch got in on the act, that made me have nascent doubts.

I bank rolled us as well to the extent of £25, does that mean I get a seat on the board? Silly me, I should have drawn up a document with strident conditions laid out on it and got the bucket holder to sign it for me before I gave him the money.

It's a reasonable assumption, most of his other "donations" or offer of donations had strings attached did they not?

Who else is wetting themselves at the prospect

Why? have we got some new players then? The first round is a bit over 2 months and we'll probably still waiting for a 'take-over' by then. -
11 and counting no? Didn't the 21 days start on Friday 29th May?Anyway it's taking too long for my liking and needs to be given a swift kick up the arse, the "legal process" that is. I'm beginning to think it may not happen as we imagine it and a lot of cooks are beginning to surround the cauldron, stirring at will and hoping to take out a juicy chunk of venison or something.New guy needs to kick Pinnacle's collective butt and tell them to get a move on.
