  1. His seeming lack of personal due diligence would tend to counter indicate what you say. When you believe that your 'investor' is "obscenely rich" it's just as well to check it out before you throw yourself into the deep end like an idiot.
  2. Will he? MLT is probably about the third last person any corporation other than Pinnacle will bring in to do the job. There are probably at least 10-15 posters on this forum who could do a damn site better job and probably have better credentials.MLT for chairman was always the indication to the total fallacy of Pinnacle's bid.
  3. technical issues like which sofa granny lost that 50p piece down the back of 3 hannukahs ago?
  4. What consortium would that be then? Is it not one (1)obscenely rich, publicity shy individual any more then. TL assured me via this very forum that they had 10 times the money required available....was he just bullcrapping me then?:smt093
  5. Why do all these points deuctions matter so much if they've stacks of cash and a 5 year plan? So we stay in League 1 a season longer to absorb the 25 minus. I mean with money we could get 80 points or so and just stay up and then move up a gear in 2010/11. I can't see the overiding importance of any points deduction in a medium term plan.To me it's just all horsecrap to get out of something they've talked their way into.
  6. these were probably our money men http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8113642.stm
  7. It's amazing what a Spurs/Skate coalition might be able to produce. But then again who's fronting that 7 figure sum that Lynam was talking about yesterday?
  8. Perhaps he paid because he is terrorised by the thought of Lowe being even a 0.007% chance behind the Jackson bid. Crouch is obsessed by possesing SFC, if you want his cash then just spin him a likely hard up story.
  9. I'd say the bloke doesn't have a clue what he's saying. One extremely rich owner or a bunch of London Barra boys, make up your mind Tony. I'd say it's just a band of Spurs supporting pranksters trying to sh*t all over us.
  10. I'm not sure that he has any, otherwise he would have signed for Chelsea all those years back.
  11. It's like a plot for a "The Sting 2" movie isn't it. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the men who ruined the club in the first place isn't putting up a scam that would make Henry Gondorf look like a choirboy. I presume this Fialka bloke isn't the real deal, excuse my ignorance as I haven't had time to catch up yet.
  12. Hmmm, to me this says "I'm done with tyre kickers and anonymous time wasters,if you want to buy and have the cash, step this way, if you don't, feck off"
  13. Baron Mawhinney is at least entitled to the use of his correct title, Dr Mawhinney. Probably doesn't give a toss anyway but do none of you remember the first official letter you got after your degree or masters or doctorate that didn't have the correct title? ****ed you off didn't it?
  14. might put retroactively instead of retrospectively as well.
  15. At last, should never have tried to come back last season. He was finished but still insisted that he wasn't ,f*cked us over good and proper and left us with just the totally talentless Lancashire to depend on. We might have been able to get someone like Saejis earlier if he hadnt tarted us about.Mind you the management should have told him nice try but no thanks last summer as well so not all his fault.
  16. respect of it's insolvency rules? In my brief teaching career an old professor once told me, if you want to have mastery of your student's, never be afraid to make an example, however feeble the cause. Warn once and then let a heavy sanction fall,it will get you hatred but respect.Never threaten without sanction at the next trangression. In the 3 year postgrad teaching that I did the principle never let me down.Mind you, the lads and lasses didn't buy me many pints at the Union Bar either.
  17. I expect it's something to do with the calendar month having elapsed. Administration is not automatic, unless someone puts you there, you aren't technically in admin. As no-one put in a proceedure it didn't happen.Even then it's not an instant process.
  18. Not so I'm afraid. You can bet your ass that as time goes on people's positions and sympathies will change. Uncertainty is something you cannot allow to continue.I don't understand the hold-up personally, sounds like horse crap to me. But if we have to sign up to SFC being in admin that means we can't come out without a CVA and a bigger points deduction might ensue.
  19. Why Lawrie? What needs to happen (if it hasn't already) is that Mr BigBux needs to hire a high flying QC and go round there with him.The football league (probably a load of old gaffers) don't want to know about 30 something "financial experts" and ex-footballers. You have to respect them by sending the main man round with some brief who understands their jargon.
  20. End of contract, loyalty, whatever ,probably on a year completed basis. Plus I don't know about Uk specific cases but in the majority of EEC countries if your employer pays you after the set day then he is liable for any charges (or loss of reputation) that his tardiness causes you. If your credit rating goes down because of his insolvency then you can sue him for damages. Anyway the only thing that can be said to describe the whole business is f*cking shambles.
  21. Not long to wait then;)
  22. So then when are they supposed to be stopping all the quixotic windmill jousting and getting the deal tied up?
  23. was not money's too tight to mention Simply Red?
  24. And does Mr BigBux ever get involved in these "meetings and discussions" or is it just ex footballers and middlemen?
  25. I don't know, to me the issue is creating a perpetual state of anguish which when resolved will lead to 20K+ fans throwing themselves into line at the ST office thus banking a bumper windfall and recovering 30+% of the monies paid out immediately. The fact that we don't actually have a side and that football starts again in a couple of weeks is totally pushed aside.
