  1. You're so vain, bet she wrote a song about you:smt085
  2. Same old ,always missing the green
  3. I'm well used to it, my good lady has a penchant for the same before going off to her lab and I head off for my observatory.Who cares whether the kids haven't rung home for 3 days at 6 in the morning?
  4. absolutely crystal clear, the instant Crouch was mentioned as being part of or peripheral to the bid I knew it was all brown and sticky.
  5. they are however watching over "take-over" situations rather closely http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/8127790.stm Not that we'd be under the microscope of course.
  6. Correct, he has he solid footballing CV that Fry will need to run a League 1 side in administration. In my opinion we'll go on even if there's no buyer so get that season ticket money out from under the floorboards.I'll buy one even though I'll go to about 2 games.
  7. just a few weeks? there is no reason why the club can't carry on as it now with the funds obtained from the 2 transfers and those still to be completed.Evidently Fry will have to get some football knowledge around him but I expect ST sales to be announced soon. Wotte will carry on and we now have to convince the FL but it's no great shakes.
  8. Is this not exactly what I told you yesterday? the rules are clear cut, you just have to follow them and not bullcrap all the time. There are people who think that by talking big numbers and big sh*t they can fool all of the people all of the time. Some however are not so gullible. But then in most cases it cost the taxpayer big bucks to get them to that condition so it's not surprising that they don't fall for con-men .
  9. the creditors have probably put a break up value of around 12 million on the affair. They can get that. If the 'bid' or offer doesn't come up to that figure then it's curtains.
  10. what league's stance? It's -10 and a CVA. The rest is about doing it properly and have reputable money at your disposal. The way to do it is buying SLH with a CVA (ie paying everybody concerned and not cherry picking) and then sort it out correctly. Fry will have told them that.
  11. not really, they probably don't have a monthly wage bill of around 400K to meet. If they find a tenner in the street they're probably quids in, we on the other hand, need 10/14 million.
  12. Whatever, Channon, Keegan,Ball,Osgood,Shilton and many other were better players than MLT,If there's a man who should be elevated to god-like status at SFC it's Channon, MLT is not even second in my list. Still many of you don't rember Micky C so what can you expect. Did MC feel the necessity to get involved in all this bollax? no he has a career other than football. If he had Pinnacle wouldn't have got past a pint in some Newbury pub cos Micky, well if you're a bullsh*tter, he tells you so.
  13. Jack Bauer himself played by Kiefer Sutherland
  14. there aren't any other serious "bidders". It's over, get used to it. We may bumble along in admin with the proceeds of player sales though but that depends on the continuing support of the creditors I would think.
  15. Revenge or hoping to get the club on the ultra-cheap perhaps. Rupert may have been completely bamboozled by the success that bloke had at Ipswich, getting 32 million debts reduced to just 7 million or so. Anyway what does it matter any more, the execs told us 18 months ago that we were on the road to ruin and that players had to be sold, we didn't sell anybody just loaned them out and surprise surprise we're fooked. Blokes who seem to be more competent than anybody we've had lately spelt it out letter by letter for us, we did f all and now it's too late, the club is finished. Hoos is doing a good job at Leicester it would seem. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/2014007.hone_had_his_sums_right/
  16. So they want to pay say 10 million and the creditors want say 14, so we sell assets to make up the difference. Makes sense perhaps.
  17. there was never a "main money man" get that into your head man. Lynam said before exclusivity that he had one (1) exceedingly wealthy client who had decided to go it alone after the others had pulled out. Then they started stalling over trifles(see Fry's statement) and finally revealed the main man Fialka who, to all obvious enquiries is not personally a rich man,so where did the money come from? the FL probably wanted to know that and may not have liked what they heard or didn't hear. Lynam was bullsh*tting even before the end of exclusivity, why? who knows but money they had not.
  18. He shouldn't have meddled( if he did) in something as half baked as Pinnacle. Only the payment of 500K (or whatever) for "exclusivity" gave them any form of credibility, if Crouch made that possible it served no good.
  19. I'm sorry that I don't suffer from the same MLT blindness as most of you. His attitude to obtaining coaching qualifications told me more about him than his (unfulfilled) career on the pitch. 'I started but I found it boring so I gave up'. He could have been one of the great footballers of his time to rival Gaza,Hoddle,Shearer or Cantona, but he couldn't be assed to move on and get into a good side. Which was great for us but it cost him half his potential.
  20. Of course he did, he thought he was going to get the red carpet to the throne at SFC, who wouldn't shout you down. You tried, most of us with some sort of intelligence saw it coming, he didn't that's all.I bet Leon has got right royally stitched up as well, probably to the tune of 600/700K. Serves him right.
  21. Don't be such an ass man, the FL didn't screw us, they asked for their rules to be followed,Pinnacle and their tinpot finance scheme screwed us.End of.
  22. That will never ever happen. At the dawn of all these proceedings I told you all that MLT will never ever be on the board of SFC, let alone chairman. It won't happen, just get over it and go back to your golden goals DVDs and what have you.The bloke was a great servant of the club but his work ethic is questionable and any consortium buying the club will know that. Plus he has no coaching qualifications (the last time I looked anyway ) and no business qualifications whatsoever.
  23. the creditors want money and the players want to get paid,it's as simple as that.In a week or so they'll all be gone if there's no buyer. The creditors won't wait for ever, it's probably them pushing players out of the door.
  24. It's nothing to do with Luton, they were docked extra points for financial irregularities. Our penalty was -10 as per standard.Because Pinnacle were probably trying to get the deal done using some wheeling and dealing that didn't involved getting a proper CVA they were probably threatened with more points deduction if they went down that road. The FL have rules, if you follow them you get docked 10 points and 10 points only. Anyway our bunch of masterminds will try to blame the FL have no doubt about it, more fools them.As I've always said -10 was nailed on(even welded on) from the day SLH went into admin ,there was no conturning that or a CVA in the state of the art.The rest is down to the prospective buyers and the administrators.
  25. MLT should never have got involved in a half-arsed scheme in the first place. Given his support OK, but any knob with a neurone would have told him he was being used.It never made sense so why did he fall for it?
