So, cutting to the chase, is it Strachan, or not?

See girls, give up the LP, it makes you indecisive or at best non-committal. -

apparently the answer is variable depending on whether you're a girl who drinks "London Pride" or not. -

Why would alcohol content be gender related then? -

5 pints of "London Pride" has probably got about the same alcohol content as a packet of salt and vinegar crisps. -
Obviously the "new manager" knows a crap player when he sees one. The only thing that would make WGS's appointment vaguely enlightening to me would be seeing Rasiak (and perhaps Saga) getting their asses kicked round some scottish glen for a week.

Strachan will bring us 4 years of stodge, then he'll walk out . Let's have someone with a future FFS. -
I think Stanley has already spent the money on potted plants.
-
as if Lynam would know, he thought MF could lay his hands on hundreds of millions, he thought the FL would give us an extra deduction.
-
a midfield that probably weighs about 200 kilos all up will be no use in League 1.I think you'll find that if we get a decent manager Gillet will be in the reserves, bad player.

What makes a successful manager.....?
Window Cleaner replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Good players, nothing more nothing less, players with ability that can be brought on and players who are the finished product. Even the best managers can do absolutely f-all with bad, undisciplined and stupid players. Look at us last season. We have some bad players who cannot discipline their lives and can't obey the simple instructions of the manager, hopefully all that is about to change. -
Who the average football fan wouldn't have a chance with in 50 light years.
-
We have a club ,that's great, as for the team, well I think it needs work before it's really worth seeing.Unless of course the new owner has decided that our chances of exiting league 1 at the right end this season are minimal so it's not yet worth wasting money on decent players.

If Oldknow is the decider I shudder to think who we might get, does the man actually know anything about football? He's a marketing man isn't he? Incidentally I see that the 'hospitality deals" are up on the OS for the Ajax game, 1000£ for an executive box and £65/person for ordinary punters just seems excessive to me,given the team that we're going to put on the pitch,I personally wouldn't pay 50p to watch any team with Lancashire and Wootton in it.

a flopée
-
Frankly i'd much rather we'd have kept Wotte than go into the period of limbo that we"re currently experiencing.I don't rate Strachan overmuch, not for the salary he'll be demanding. He keeps walking out on clubs so as not toget to the fatal 5th season.Keegan is the same, I want a younger man with everything to prove, and I don't mean Dowie.Still perhaps getting mauled by Ajax reserves will kick their arses into gear.
-
Hiring football managers seems to be a complete lottery anyway, might as well get on with it sharpish.We're in League 1, any competent hack will do for that. At the end of the day it's the players that will succeed or fail and we need to get some that are more susceptible to do the former. ;
-
No it isn't it's full of fat pr@ts from Tranmere and their all in wrestler lady friends. NB, Charlie Miller- Led Zeppelin- think on it,not Lead Zeppelin though. I lead, I am led.
-
To me it's a total f*ck up. We just can't start the League 1 season with the team we have and we can't do anything about that until we get a new manager. Taking too long as did the take-over(or buy out)

Good to see those goalden oldies again but frankly you could probably see better football on the Common nowadays.Nomarking, fouls that would be straight reds just ignored, pedestrian pace of the game, backpassing to the keeper, acres of spaces, first touches where the ball runs a good 10 yards before the second touch, it just wouldn't cut the mustard nowadays. Football has changed and the players would act differently today but as they were? Blue Square south at best.

Although failure at a dumphole like Skate is not an adverse line on his CV. He probably had to deal with a big,big bunch of prima donna, full weight c*nts down there and he wasn't yet ready for it. Personally I trust the new management, if they appoint Adams, then they must have their reasons.I'd rather have Adams than say, Dowie or even Shearer.

Saints refuse to deny Strachan at club last night

I'm not over keen on Strachan TBF, I think Div 3 would be beyond his dinosaur capacities, wouldn't mind Coppell though. -
No, next question. We have a man in place, he will do a decent job when freed from the shackles of poverty and board interference.
-
Perhaps we will know more when Pinnacle are infiltrated by Vigo Mortensen.

no,it is established at the end of Back to the Future 3 that the future has no interdependance on current events. However in Déja Vu and Paycheck it is proposed that by knowing the future ,events can be changed to alter it. If Hollywood says that who am I to argue,it's well known that John Wayne won every war for the US singlehanded from about 1650 onwards, even those that they lost.
