  1. He can say it 100001 times but some just won't believe it anyway.
  2. And why does it matter, club invites visiting past chairrmen to it's boardroom shocker. It's a mark of respect I presume, only we don't rate them, Forest must love them, especially if they stay up because we went down eh.
  3. It's when the season ends, whether that's after our last game, the last game in the Prem or after the Cup final I couldn't say. Clubs aren't going to fall over themselves to give us money next Monday you know. They will wait and see and wait and see some more.
  4. now perhaps but a couple of weeks back it wasn't the case. I just can't see anyone taking him on at his asking price, unless of course he has a relegation clause in his contract with us but I very much doubt that. frightening for any new buyer really, looking into the books and seeing that we have to give that mid-range CCC "star" 10/12 K a week for another year if we can't offload him to some other bunch of suckers.
  5. He is apparently one of her nephews, if what he says is to be believed and why shouldn't it be. She has 2 brothers and a sister I think.
  6. Been there, got that.
  7. I believe that might have been the case anyway, not concerning Lallana though. No doubt Watford told us where we could stick our 1 million price tag for Rasiak.
  8. A lot of you seem to have gone pie-eyed over this lad,who by the way is 21 in a couple of weeks. Compare him to say Ashley Young who's about 23 and has 200 odd first team games on his counter at Villa with 40 or so goals to boot. He isn't worth 5 million and we'll be lucky to get 1.5 from some daft idiot of a manager. Then we have to give Bournemouth a chunk, probably them spreading the silly price rumours to get the ball rolling.
  9. I remain sceptic all the same.
  10. As I said earlier, something nasty in the woodshed.
  11. And write down 18 million of perfectly good debt? doubt it my self. Now that someone has to pay £5 million in arrears and fees to be able to take on the mortgage as a going concern, that maybe true. Aviva aren't a charity I'm afraid. 23 million is owed on the stadium, they'll want most of that eventually.
  12. Someone mentioned that that might already be happening.
  13. that's the problem, that figure won't be acceptable enough to the creditors.
  14. How much have they got in the briefcase though. Are they likely to have 10,15 or 20 million£,can't see any less than that being acceptable, even if they can negociate with Aviva to bring down the immediate debt mass.
  15. Depends how hardball the creditors are playing. Anything over 20 million for a League 1 club is difficult to envisage, yet we need rolling money and there are obviously substantial debts to pay off. I would have thought that this season's crowd figures would be a serious cold shower on anyone investing real money. Can't help thinking there must be something nasty in the woodshed that makes investors think twice.
  16. Mark Fry said there are four interested parties which he aims to encourage bids from in the next 10 days. Told you nothing would happen this week.
  17. Strange of people to name a youngster Quinten when his family name was Hubbard already. Sort of good on ya gesture towards the suicide of Ron Hubbard's son of the same name.
  18. There should be a law on spouting sh*t on radio chat shows, a sort of wireless ASBO.
  19. How would she know that then? Amazing the amount of gabbing that seems to go on around SFC and SLH, everyone seems to know everything and yet no-one really knows anything. For Mary Corbett to know that JF has been ceded to Barley's in the recent past would amount to priviledged information being shared with people who don't need to know anything.Unless of course she's involved with one of the bids and thus in apparent breach of the NDA.
  20. You forgot Vignal, he was on a lot of money for the number of matches he played. 10K£ left backs must be rare in the CCC.
  21. A lot of things have been said, some of them aren't particularly accurate.
  22. Ooooooooh Betty. I have just read that there may be involvement from the Barclay brothers who hang out on some deserted isle near Sark. Howard Hughes was a publicity seeker compared to these 2
  23. I haven't been to Wales these last 10 years, used to go a lot but then whatever it was I was working on either succeeded or got shut down because of lack of government funding, can't remember which.Used to enjoy those visits to the hinterlands of Cardiff and beyond.
  24. Right, otherwise welly boot sales would plummet I suppose.
