  1. Anyway, it's all a bit academic. Why don't we ask the man in question. How about it Mike? are you fit to be Chairman? not that I expect a reply of course.:roll::roll::roll:
  2. What about the Faustian pact synopsis. He agrees to play now, where the coach wants him to ,to his full ability and for less money,we give him a free in January.
  3. Yep, some-one got a 365 billion dollar research grant to work out that any football club that has gone downhill since 1992 is underachieving.(Not that I bothered to read the report of course, I've seen so many "research reports", I know that the vast majority of them are ******). Her indoors writes "research reports",mostly on tropical plants which are of no concern to anybody, unless you get richly paid to study them that is.
  4. Ticket Office, you should befriend some-one "Ticket Office hasn't made any friends yet" doesn't look so great.
  5. Wow, didn't know Chapman was reading the Catcher or that Salinger is with AOL.
  6. There was a film called the Catcher in the Rye (bout 1995/6) but it's complete tosh, nothing to do with Salinger.
  7. Bugger, the other thread has been closed so I'll get this in before this one goes that way as well. Nope, my wife works for the French Government, bloke called Nicolas, never heard it called Eric before, a lot of names, most of them singularly uncomplimentary but not Eric.
  8. What like Jim in American Pie II ?
  9. What? suppose you mean the Field of Dreams connection. I don't think the Catcher has ever been produced for the big screen, thought there was a project 2 years or so ago but I've no idea what's happening on that. There might have been a few amateur efforts though, I've never seen any of them and I'm quite a film buff.
  10. They're interested in Phil + Eric's Sunday Commercial House's League team, Bullfrog Town apparently.
  11. Arguably the best book ever written. Parodied of course by David Mitchell Black Swan Green.
  12. Anyway,at the end of the day Wilde owns 16.46% of the Saint's shares. Whilst that is so he will always have the role of Kingmaker provided that neither the Crouch faction or the Lowe faction wilt in the battle.
  13. What does it matter who he is,I mean before LS came on one day claiming (no doubt correctly) that he'd been talking to Fulthorpe at Doncaster, I don't even remember him being a consistent or radical poster.Maybe I didn't follow the debates enough, I had a lot of work on up until recently and didn't read everything. He must have his reason (or agenda) for the latest postings he's made, if you don't like them don't read them. It's just an internet forum, nothing to do with reality (most of the time).
  14. Fair enough,I thought the rantings and ravings of late were too violent and baseless to be the work of the Saint's Trust Chairman.
  15. Not Rebel then??
  16. Not sure that you're right. If it is the case then Nick has suddenly become aggressive and is stirring shîte like he's never done before. I think he used to post under another name, still if you're right it's a vast mood swing for him. I mean suddenly raking up an old chestnut, accusing Bob's dad of being lazy or idle, not the Nick I know,so I'd check that out.Messrs Mc Millan or Chorley perhaps, Nick? doubt it.
  17. Not that I want to get involved in this latest round of *****ing but we should remember that Wilde did get sacked (or as good as) a bit later on.
  18. Obviously the words of a man who has been supporting Saints for a long long time, before the Premiership glory days. Saints have been pretty inconsistent over the years, but what you saw against Watford is nothing, nothing whatsoever ,compared to some of the dire performances we've put in in the past.Take the 8-0 tonking we got off of Everton or even one of last season's 5 goal nightmares. If you miss 2 penalties you're down, way down and sometimes shîte happens. I don't know if it exists, try to find some old 60's footage, you'll see what "bad" means, and we still won games.
  19. I just find it strange that the old dogma 'if you haven't or don't play football, then you can't possibly know anything about it" is still applied that's all. I mean you can pick up a basic coaching certificate from a few week-ends courses and a bit of tyro coaching. However after 12 years of talking to some of the worlds finer coaches, many of them having played at the highest possible level, and being around great players, seen some outstanding talent brought on on a day to day basis,it's naturally assumed that you know still nothing about football just because you're a bit of a toff and played hockey.
  20. Rudi Skacel started out as a left back I think, probably in some sort of total football system. Last season when he was a Hertha he started out in midfield, but I think he played left back again for the last 3 or 4 games. Could be wrong though.
  21. What the same Saints first team that's playing Coventry on Tuesday night? Doesn't sound very logical to me, still total football and all that.
  22. Just a point here. After living with(and from) Football for the last 12 years, Lowe probably does now know something about football.I think we should let the "hockey wallah" tag drop now. It's absolutely impossible to work around the game for so long without picking up at least the basic rudiments. For the rest....no comment.
  23. Strange how they love Blackpool isn't it. They're doing quite well and are still 4th favourites for relegation. If they're 5/2 to go down, a bet on them staying up must be worthwhile
  24. Probably got bigger tits than most of them
  25. Hern the Hunter??
