Is that Gary Monk they've got playing for them. Maybe he'll gift us an O.G, like Matt Mills.
-
Maybe the chav football cliché filter has been invented.
-
Whatever ,I don't pay much attention to the way the midfield lines up.I know Morgan and Gillett are DM and Surman and BWP attacking.
-
Here we go Kelvin Davis, Chris Perry, Rudi Skacel, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Andrew Surman, David McGoldrick, Morgan Schneiderlin, Adam Lallana, Simon Gillett, Lloyd James, Jack Cork. so that would be Davis James Perry Cork Skacel BWP Surman Morgan Gillettt (but not in that placing) Lallana McG Subs Wooton,Forecast,Euell,Paterson,Mills (I think) See no Pekhart, he's out of favour (or injured)
-
You can't just dump anyone at left back because you don't fancy Mills. Skacel will play at left back(probably until January) Unless MS is supposed to read Mills I'm not sure that the club aren't thoroughly disappointed by Pekhart and want shot of him. Just an impression I get;
-
BWP played on Tuesday didn't he?

To whom? Who wants to buy a 35 million quid White Elephant and lease it to a struggling football club?. If we could find some-one to buy the stadium,Bingo we'd have found an "investor". Coventry's stadium buyback was something to do with their major shareholder and the Council I think. Southampton City Council won't even help us by cutting the rates, let alone buying the stadium.

Bart has been dropped since his awful display at Rotherham. Think Forecast has been on the bench since then.
-
They see it as a way to get rid of Lowe,Wilde and whoever else it is they don't like. As far as I can surmise, many think that all of our debts will be wiped out and we'll start again from zero. Not the way it works now I'm afraid. The only people who will lose are the smaller suppliers and the shareholders;many of whom are genuine lifelong fans..
-
Ummm, It's not up to us anyway.
-
Ah right, I don't usually actually read what they say. I take out Forecast and that's it. Was on Tuesday, was last Saturday.
-
Looks like Davis James Cork Perry Skacel Schneiderlin Gillett Euell Surman Lallana McG Not bad in midfield, if the defence holds up (and there you never know) we might actually score. However this is Saints we might actually get tonked. Same old Saints, never predictable.
-
Especially when the money this time was supposed to be coming from Germany,US and Canada.Perhaps loaned by the Middle East though. 6 weeks would be just about when the shîte was coming up the tube to hit the fan of the "credit crunch" wouldn't it?.
-
Maybe, I'm not so sure(I mean I agree we can afford to pay non-performers) If I asked you to guarantee me first team football because I wanted to be sure that my salary would not far below a certain level ,I would be asking too much, you might refuse. but not because you didn't want to pay me.Not saying he did,but I can see it happening. Stern might have been talking to Bristol for a while and asked for a guarantee that he'd get picked every week. It's academic, it's semantics, he's gone, we don't have to pay him for a while but we can't count on his goals either.
-
See above: Offer and Guarantee do not mean the same thing, doesn't matter how proficient you are in English, it's different Sorry to see him go myself, I thought he saved us last season as well.
-
I think Jan said "guarantee him first team football", could be wrong. Perhaps Stern was asking for guarantees that he would be in the first team squad every week from here to.... and we couldn't go with that. Perhaps it's an international football thing again, WC in AfS only being 2 years away.
-
No, but then he doesn't take my advice on financial matters.

I know nothing of the sort and I doubt whether you do. I've never seen this "fact" before.Where did you get it from. I mean, I can go and look it up myself then can't I. We don't sweep up to protect our 'good buddies'. All the few positive voices are trying to do is prevent the forum turning into a continual witch hunt, where the eventual victims have already been tried, judged and sentenced. I'm thinking of giving up altogether soon because it's just too much of an uphill job honestly.
-
Nope he got back well into Friday (as far as I've been told) absolutely clapped out and wasn't in a fit state to play on Saturday.Had he been he'd have probably scored at least one of the penalties.
-
Nope I support Southampton FC, as I have done for 45 years or more. I just don't believe getting on the back of people who I don't know, spouting facts that I have no basis for and generally being a moaning minny when I need to get behind the club in whatever shape or form it happens to be in at the moment.
-
You hear what you want to hear, don't belive everything you hear from 'blokes down the pub"' it'll probably lead you into serious trouble one day.
-
And the source for this gem if you please? Don't tell me,let me guess, it's from either the Daily Mirror or an internet forum right?

That £2million Michael Wilde said he "could get easily"
Window Cleaner replied to aintforever's topic in The Saints
No it's not a case of trust really.I don't know them personally. They told me, by way of trading statements or similar, that we needed to sell (not buy) players last January, I was OK with that our season was on the rocks already so a bit more (without passing into the danger zone) was OK by me.It didn't happen, we bought a player for more than we obtained in loan fees and now we're in the brown because of that (and other things). We needed to pack up and ship out last January but by then the execs were gone(well apart from the stooge Hoos). Lowe and Wilde had lost their last control cable to the club and we went on a firking boy scouts jamboree buying Davies when we couldn't afford to, signing big money loans and not selling anybody.I'm sure that if we'd still had the execs last January we'd have got off a bit lighter on the debt front. -
Yes but there(s a world of difference between "reports" on TSW and hard fact from the OS. Jeez I think some of you should get a grip and have a sally out into the real world. I mean there was a Japanese bint who got "divorced" in some virtual existence game, looked up the details of her 'husband" and wiped him out of the game. For this she faces a big fine and a bit of pokey. I could never understand why people send Lady Di wedding presents when they don't know her from Adam . They eat bread and marmite for a month and lavish a £500 gift on a silly girl they know nothing about. Even Elsie Tanner got truckloads of wedding gifts. An internet forum is virtual, based on mainly bullshîte and rumour, you've just got to be able to tell the difference between that and fact. This sermon came to you from the book of Saints, chapter 24 verse 17.,
