  1. Reaching out on all sides.
  2. Well I'm going to bell them tomorrow to see if they want to talk to me about it then. I'll spill the beans, no worries. I can't help thinking that there are personal guarantees in place. I'm sure our OD showed up in the last accounts as a "secured" loan. Could be wrong though, it's been known.
  3. Look at the minutes published above RL commented that in his recent discussion with the companies bankers Not any old recent discussions his recent discussions. Why were Barclays talking to Lowe in the fall of last year? Come on people I want to know..
  4. What and he was just impersonation Hone when the phone rang to "discuss our overdraft Come on why were the bank talking to Lowe in November 2007, that's an important thing to know.In fact it's the key.
  5. But then why were they talking to him when his was off of the radar??? I just don't understand that. If they're not his biggest fans why kick his cage when he'd been ousted. I mean November 2007 "recent discussions with the clubs bankers" when he'd been off the scene for nigh on 18 months. Come on someone must have an explanation for that-please?
  6. Along with "We're not building a stadium for the Nationwide"
  7. One pertinent point from the Runnymede minutes. Why was our bank talking to a man who had no effective role in the running of the club? Can they do that, I would have thought not, unless they have some personal guarantee from Rupert or one of the parties for whom he seems to be spokesman. Anyone want to have a stab at explaining that point?.
  8. P*ss off you little weasel (Long forgotten quote from his schooldays)
  9. Sounds like an average Friday afternoon on TSW, plenty of gab,no action.
  10. Just an elementary lesson in fag packet mathematics here. a= you have to take out the VAT from all sales. b) the beer, pies and programme all have a finite cost.Their sale price also includes VAT. c) not everybody drinks stadium beer (it's awful),eats the pies or buys a programme. d) The stadium takes up the input of at least 5000 fans per match, probably nearer 6K. Those adjustments would mean that 1000+ people are paying Stern John. Stadium 6000, Stern John 1000,Rudi Skacel 1000,Wayne Thomas 800, Jason Euell 1000 Meaning that the remaining charge has to be born by 5200 fans on the gates we're getting. We've 29 pros,an academy, office staff, interest payments to meet with that. Anyone know what the clubs rates are ? is it not more than a million a year?? Without Sky money the Stadium is what we can't afford.
  11. Only because they've drawn their last 2 games and have agame in hand. They're doing AOK so far although the last 2 results have been sub par (by thier expected standards) . Their squad probably earns more than ours so it's only normal really. In football you get what you pay for, same as always. That's OK, the affair goes tits up when you're paying top whack and getting bottom dollar.
  12. Unless you believe (as I'm prepared to do) that Pearson had already been tapped up by Milan. I could believe that, I don't think he'd 'dip out' of his own accord but with a hefty incentive from Milan, yep, I could see that happening.
  13. Trouble is SOG at the start of the season we didn't look too bad, likely to score but didn't, so we lost a few games we might have won; Now we don't even look likely to win, in fact we look consigned to defeat. Our "plan" was an adventurous one, unfortunately it was based on Killer playing at least every other game (what a joke), Thomas not getting injured (he looked good in his few runs out). Holmes was a key man, he looked the real biz, since then we've been trying to duplicate his role without success. Lancashire has already gotten 2 red cards, bet that wasn't in the plan, Skacel ? who the F knows what his role was supposed to be, f**king off to provide some much need cash I expect. Schneiderlin has had a couple of injuries, the "loans" have been erratic, McG isn't scoring, neither is Lallana. The "plan" has gone tits up in every department, yesterday was a game I thought we should compete in but we were dismal, didn't even look as good as we did in August. I gave the "plan" some credibility but it's shot to f*ck because nothing has gone the way it was supposed to.
  14. Now here's a hypothesis Sasha is supposed to be running PFC off his own bat, Dad's swans being singularly unwelcome. If his bank accounts were being monitored to see where his money comes from they might not be very flush just now. Anyway the arms trade isn't what it used to be,everybody is trying to muscle in on it and cut prices .
  15. Ahh I don't need Sam Aritan, it's only football, I have a "life" as well. Mind you when we win, those around me are much happier bunnies of a saturday.. trouble is we can't afford to rest anyone, we're down to the "bare-bones". the old injury plague is hitting us hard as per usual; As I mentioned yesterday I think we have a problem with Pekhart and Paterson isn't ready yet so we only have BWP to play up front.
  16. I, in my minority of one mode again, think Harry is a good manager but he has a style which cannot be cramped or restricted in any way shape or form; At the end of the day he probably comes out on the plus side of the transfer ledger but he has to do things his way. Try to put restraints on the cost or ethics of what he does and you'll get an unhappy, demotivated bunny. If you want the best out of Harry, don't cramp his style, pay up and fade into the background, that's what you need to do. Most football clubs lose money anyway, might as well get some success whilst losing it.
  17. It's not the formation that changes anything, it's the quality of the players performing it. Moving BWP (who's supposed to be a striker) up to make a double pronged attacked with McGoldrick won't change anything.Lallana isn't a striker either, but then he's not a playmaker .Our problem (from what I can work out) is that our midfield can't play the wave system that goes with Jan's type of football. I've seen it work, even used it,but you need players that can win the ball and distribute it. Morgan was apparently very disappointing yesterday, perhaps he's not adjusting well to the style of his team mates. "Total football" needs absolute confidence in your team mates, if it's not there the system can't work.
  18. I tried to be, as you say perhaps I've seen enough. Can't see that me no longer being supportive will change anything as I don't see that there is any other solution. Administration won't change anything, the only thing that will is money, can't see where that's coming from so all in all might as well go with the tide. It's obvious that we have SOME players that a worth a game, but from what I've read about yesterday even they are no longer performing, and that can only be down to the coach.
  19. I point ,you're optimistic then. I'll go for zero.
  20. I looked on the Sky players ratings (which come from the fans) Nearly all our players were in the 2s and 3s.Even the "golden boys Lallana and Surman. WTF is happening??. I thought Jan was a good idea but if he cant cut it,cut him.
  21. Think you mean whipping boy rather than hatchet man. Anyway McG is crap but he's cheap crap,BWP is the guy who's case you should all be on, does nothing, but boy does that nothing cost a lot.
  22. Bring back the floppy cardboard fruit machines tickets that the Supporters Club used to sell everywhere in Southampton to give money to the club. You couldn't go into a pub or office in Southampton without having someone wanting to flog them to you. That would go back to,what about 1971/3, something like that?.
  23. Spurs must have a bit of folding at their disposition. They've sold Berbatov and Keane for over 50 million and probably not spent half of that.So they'll be plenty to wheel and deal with. Trouble with Spanish managers is that they don't know how to wheel and deal. It's something they don't get involved in in Spain, just make suggestions and leave it to the front office afterwards.
  24. What money? there's no money to be in it for anyway. Unless you count the million that Wilde has already lost on share value of course; In it's current configuration all anyone is going to make out of SLH,SFC or whatever is a sharp pain about wallet height. Some of our directors might even have given personal guarantees to the bank.
  25. Yes, but I'm afraid that their value will have slipped well down the scale by then. They're doing nothing to maintain the value that they had in pre-season. Unless they start turning in performances we'll get a couple of mill for them all up,as opposed to the reported 5.5 million that was on offer in August.Still must keep the fans happy and not sell their darling boys, even if it does put you right in the shîte.The academy costs a fortune to run (apparently) if you can't sell the products or use them to boost your gates and get Sky money there isn't much point is there.
