Yep, I'm not sure that the consumption cost on a 600 KW (or higher) set up would be the same as on a 9KW domestic scheme. The electricity board needs to put down enormous cables for that and it has a cost which they pass on to the user. On occasions we haven't used the undersoil heating because it was too expensive and yet I doubt that it would be more than 400Kilowatts.

Are UK energy prices really that high. Need some Nuclear then. In France 3p/KWh off peak (8 hours/day) 6p/KWh peak. But the the bigger your 'installation' the bigger your fixed charge is. Domestic 9 KW is about a tenner a month.

Peanuts for sure, but they get Sky money, we don't. The player/coach wage bill and the stadium payments exceeded our revenues last year. It's relative really. If we didn't have any office staff, travelling expenses,rates,overdraft charges,academy,electricity bills,ground staff,stewards,policing,shops,printing costs or whatever, we'd be just fine . So if Messrs the players would care to drive themselves to matches (at their own cost) and the supporters would care to put their £24 quids into the tin buckets provided at the gates for the purpose and behave themselves, even if they can't see the game because there are no lights, well ,we'll be AOK.

If I remember rightly it was something to do with it being boxed in by residential areas and main roads. You'd have to ask the experts about it. Someone in town planning or surveying. BTF perhaps?
