  1. Johnny Winter (also his brother Edgar). Now there's a rave from the past for you, Albino guitarist, bet he didn't like err Winter.
  2. You only suffer because women wear more clothes in winter and there's less tit on display.
  3. Nope, you have to recycle them nowadays.
  4. Not so many no. I'll be back with the exact figure later on.
  5. Depends on how many "internet fans" actually go to matches; 50% would be a very optimistic figure I think.
  6. If you want a level playing field there are two principal options. 1) Salary Cap and Draft as in the NFL 2) French system with the DNCG (direction national de controle de gestion) All clubs submit their accounts, those that are too much in the red get "recruitment bans",those that are really really in the red get relegated. Piece of pisces really. If you're spending money you don't have it gives you an advantage, you get knocked back end of. Mind you for the Champions League-forget it. How can a club charging £15 at the gate and without much debt compete with clubs charging £50 and 200 million in the red. Football has become a joke, Time machine me back to 1984, just in time to watch Saints stuffing Liverrpool at Anfield.
  7. Anyone got any idea on that? All these Tuesday night matches instead of Saturday afty must be costing us a fortune. Bloody international breaks. Won't get that in League 1 though.
  8. Nah, under the system which was minutely outlined, the incumbents got rid of a lot of their detractors because administration was no longer a sword of Damocles. Wish I could remember exactly how it went, it was in August or about then, must have been on this forum, I don't read the others.
  9. Never mind the quality, feel the width.
  10. Harry said he was in Portugal, waiting for a flight home when he got a call.. but he went to Portugal a while ago as well, you know with him, truth isn't an exact science;
  11. The stadium is owned by a separate entity. Weren't you here when we discussed this Phil ?. The plan that I heard was. Put the FC Ltd into administration and keep all the others above water. The shareholders lose nothing and the FC gets some time on it's only debt-the overdraft. I can't remember exactly how it went but it was all very well wrapped and cunning. Apparently it was legal as well. No-one remember that thread?, perhaps it wasn't on here then. Perhaps I'm leaking an exclusive secret.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
  12. Hmm, not to get too involved but it's a pity that the club opened a lovely new concrete and glass "shop" then. For the number of "customers" who want to buy the "product" now the grotty old tinkers shop that was hard to access and even harder to park around, would have done just fine.
  13. Zip... It's right now.
  14. You didn't run in your Saint's shirts did you?? I bet you did,they should do replica singlets for us runners, some nice red and white striped coolmax would be a great jobby.With your name on the back for places like London and N York.
  15. Anyway, just because Crouch said it doesn't mean he had anything to do with it -got that Marco? These are figures reflected in the annual accounts form 1st July 2006 to 30th June 2007, you can read them in the club info if you fancy it. During that period the club was run by the Execs and Michael Wilde, Crouch had very little to do with it. The annual accounts dated Nov 07 were signed off by Ken Dulieu I think. For those who fancy a read to refresh their memories. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/club/?page_id=1504
  16. Yes we can't service the debts exact,but the "board" are trying to do something about that in the only possible (apparently) way and just getting bile and shîte tipped on them 24/7.
  17. Bale was this year,Theo would come into last years accounts, so that's even worse. Jones was staged payments I think but fully accounted for in the accounts, ie the sale shown in the revenues and the outstanding instalments in the "monies due". It's really difficult to say, hopefully we'll have the accounts soon but last year was catastrophic in anybody's opinion; We just carried on regardless (see Runnymede minutes),spending like there was no tomorrow and now we're paying for it. For a medium size football club to lose and amount roughly equal to their entire "before" player trading" revenue can't be too frequent. I don't know how many of you think about these thing but it means that "before player trading" we couldn't afford to pay a single player or coach without increasing debt. That is chronic,absolutely chronic. It means that all the fans money was spent on other things than playing football on the green square.
  18. Nah, you really think an 8 million quid overdraft is big debt???? As long as we're not behind on our mortgage instalments that's not a problem. Leeds debt was what 50,60,70,100 million, I don't remember. We aren't greatly in debt, brasher boards would brazen out three times as much and think nothing of it. How much do Watford owe,despite having their 46 million debts paid off,only what 5 or 6 years ago. Or Skate or Man U . If Watford don't go up this season (and it's not very likely) they'l be in serious dos. I bet role model Wigan have some pretty heavy debts,Hull as well by now. Our problem is that our revenue has been seriously reduced and we didn't handle it very well. I wouldn't compare uswith leeds though.
  19. What's all that red ink about then?.
  20. But we've had informed speculation on this before. The theory then was the FC Ltd be put into administration but not the PlC or the Stadium Ltd. Those that spoke of it at the time seemed to be intimating that it had already been run through the legal eagles by the board and that it was in order.
  21. Well that's a reasonable figure, I just can't help thinking (not from any particular knowledge) that he was tapped up by Milan and offered more money; Call it intuition if you will.
  22. Interesting that you say that, do you not think then that the good attendances last season were being artificially maintained by these "special offers". The drink and eat's provided very little profit although there must be a nice mark up on the programme. How long did that go on?? Just asking. Could be why we lost so much money last season, if we were" paying ground staff but getting no gate revenue it could explain a lot of things.I have oft wondered how we managed to lose 14 million orso last season, I could see it a lot more clearly if these "special offers" were going on big time and that there were say 1000 or 2000 less paying fans than the gate figures reflect .The ST core figure would then bear the brunt of the matchday attendance. On March Madness and Early Bird we'd be struggling, really struggling;
  23. The doomsday plan is already in force; Aviva are making us pay according to our guarantees, leaves no money for us to play football with, hence the shîte team and the shîte results which will lead to an even shîter team and even shîter results ad infinitum until we find our level.
  24. Everybody who has bad,medium or even quite good loans is struggling on the LSE just now. They're all over stretched and over exposed, we would be considered as pretty toxic, yes.
