I'm sure they'll look into what you say then. Why don't you drop David Luker a little e-mail? He usually sorts everyone out pretty well from what I've heard. I mean, I'm sure that if there's been the crass ineffiency as you say ,they won't mind firing someone for it.We need to make cuts, give them a cause and some names and they'll be all over it.

Are you Brian Clough? I went to that game, England-Poland at Wembley in what '73?. We could have scored 15,Chivers,Channon and Clark were really on fire, he saved everything...amazing

Our share price is creeping up again, a few little trades yesterday and again this morning. Mind you with the indexes dropping like a lead eagle again this morning for no apparent reason, a fading football club that only owes 25 million or so will soon become a refuge value.
-
I'll just say: Jan Tomaszewski. Still if he's anything like Bart at Rotherham we're going to score a wicked number of goals.
-
So we give a run out on Tuesday night and Brizzl C take him off our hands for 3 months, sounds like a smart affair to me. 13x10K=130,000£. So another 500 fans per game can stand down, the loss caused by your lack of presence is covered.
-
Won't be going far then.;)

Do they do medicals for 3 month loans then?? If the guy's crocked you can just send him back anyway.

Missing a line at the end there: Berris; Yus,, wicked buss

1-0 to the Saints.

Seems to be a fairly serious allegation to me.I doubt that the facts are as straightforward as they are presented to be. If he wrote to the club and got no reply about not being able to get 3 STs together in the Itchen ,well..... that would amaze me. Would Ticket Office care to comment on these "accusations"?

Hobson's choice really,we can't afford to let Stern go and we can't AFFORD to keep him. These decision can only be weighed up on a cost/efficiency basis just now. We've paid him 4 month's salary this financial year, so about 180K I suppose ,for 1 league cup goal and a total of about 5 hours first team football. To me that's lot of money for very little end product, others will no doubt see it differently. I see everything like that, cost/end product.

As I said yesterday Morgan is fairly efficient from the spot. I expect John will play tomorrow,we'll drop him off at Bristol on the way home, that'll save at least £5.50.
-
We signed him because the "fans" thought the sun shone out of his a/h. I doubt (and that's pure speculation) if Hone + Hoos were overly keen,in fact they took their time, but as he was at the World Cup it wasn't so easy I suppose.I do think we got well and truly shafted over Saga, don't think (hearsay) that we got him on permanent for the same price as we got him on loan, hence the reticence of the execs.I don't doubt the "non-execs" loved him though.

There was another thread that didn't last long. Weston, forever the Hercule Poirot, was saying that he thought my wife worked for Eric. Then the thread got closed.I merely used this one, which is of a similar character,to inform him that my wife is a French Government Scientist and doesn't work for "Eric".

Maybe, whatever he offers is certainly at least 3 times as expensive as McG in any case. A striker who can't score at 10K a week must be better than a striker who can't score at 3K a week right?
-
On the lowering of prices it could be that they're going to go for a really heavy- weight half-season ticket campaign from about mid-November onwards. To be effective, we'd need a couple of decent home wins before the campaign is launched.
-
Stern isn't very efficient so far this season.True he got injured after about 10 minutes at Doncaster and had to be subbed.Think he's participated in 6 or 7 games in the League and not scored.Still he could have got off the mark in the CCC with those 2 penalties. I do wonder if he's in hot water for being late back last week. Don't know exactly when he got back or when he was expected though. Seems bizarre to have an international break and still not have everyone available on the Saturday afterwards though. He's 32 next week so that really is pushing on a bit for a hustle and bustle striker.
-
Yep, so you see some clubs still give managers who sign highly paid strikers ,who don't score much, the sack.
-
They haven't actually got you to believe all their old BS about that have they Nick??
-
Correct, the Champions League is boring, so is the UEFA. You know that the CL will be won by a side that cost at least 250 million to assemble and that the last 4 will be composed of similar clubs. The group strages are just for the show. Watched Marseille yesterday, big club, no money, about 19 Africans on a couple of bob a week=No chance.

The Catcher in the Rye? Well I would put it on everybody's must read list, but then that's just me. It's an insight into the workings of the fairly unbalanced adolescent mind. Still to some I suppose it would seem archaic and out of date nowadays, but then so is Shakespeare et al. I'm sure your local library has at least one copy.
-
Yes ,but that way they would get tonked by some megabucks club in the 2nd or 3rd round and we wouldn't have to watch them get thumped 4,5 or 6 times.
-
Well no, but that would explain exactly why he's getting the sack. Trouble is for little minnows like AAB the players get into a groove where all they think about is the CL games and their chance to get a big money transfer. Happens all the time, the league form drops away like a lead brick. Quite honestly sides like AAB have no place in the champions league group stages.
