  1. Nothing so clandestine, he's just the latest in the long line of Fulthorpe's 00?"licence to spread shîte about" brigade. FF,LongShot,Nick01 might be the very same as LS) who wants to be next?. NB. It would be particularily alarming if our overdraft had increased (rather than decreased) at this stage of the season. Face it, our revenue is about 6000(if that)x£24=£144000 every two weeks. So unless we're paying the totality of our players, coaches, admin staff, academy staff etc less than £72000 per week it is unthinkable, especially as we are 2 months or more off the transfer window (unless there are instalments due on players). So far we've whipped up about 4.5 million in transfers and add ons, we got the season ticket money in and we have made some cash on the home games. I would very very much doubt that our overdraft has increased (it's not the period in which than happens). If we're minus 8 million now, we'll be all done by the end of November, ain't going to happen because what you say probably isn't correct.
  2. Well it wasn't in the corner if the keeper hardly had to move. As I said, inside the post by about 6ins/1ft is the way, low down or high up, the rest are 50/50 for the keeper. If you miss it might come back off the bar or the post and you might get another crack.
  3. So why didn't he do that again then? thought the keeper would go down to his left expect.
  4. For the keeper it was probably a question of logic, we had already had one weakly hit penalty saved, the next was 50/50 on a power drive up the middle!.Good players place penalties either 6 inches from either post, hard hit a foot off the ground or take a risk and bang them up under the bar.We might be known as a team who gets their fair share of penalties with Lallana going down like whore's drawers in the box at the slightest touch. I presume the opposition goalkeeping coach would know all about everybody who's ever taken a penalty for us (or elsewhere).Sports science eh, don't ya just hate it, bring back nail in leather studs and knee length shorts.
  5. It was the 26th November last year, plenty of time as yet. Although I would have thought that the new team would want to get them out to highlight the mess we were in when they took over. Those accounts aren't going to be pretty reading with administration and player salary costs sky high, nearly to a laughable extent.Plenty of snouts in the trough gobbling up their fill methinks. If you look at the accounts for 2007 they weren't that bad, we reduced our losses AND our debts, that despite buying quite a few players in the summer of 2006. But with the sale of Bale we actually made a profit on player trading in that year. In fact in the year 2006/7 the club was quite well run. Then came the nitty gritty-loss of parachute payments-and the sh!t started. We increased our wage bill and didn't do very well on the field. All our problems are generated by those disastrous 12 months, especially the ones from December 2007 to June 2008.
  6. Morgan is a great little player, but at his age you can't expect him to play through injuries, like we did with Pahars all those games. At 18 ,you've all your career in front of you,you don't want to be playing week in week out at 60% fit.
  7. Morgan hits a mean penalty.Scored in 3 games for France U19s
  8. We need for those annual accounts to be got out into the public domain and fast. Then you will see the exact level of mismanagement last season. First by "the execs" and then by Crouch and his cronies;
  9. Experienced defenders, like Svensson and Perry? Perhaps we were counting on Skacel NOT throwing his dummy out of the pram ehh? Perhaps we thought Thmoas would actually play for us from time to time If we'd had a back four of Thomas-Svensson-Perry-Skacel that would be experienced enough wouldn't it. If I saw our squad at the start of the season i'd say the team we had in mind was Davies Thomas Perry Svensson Skacel Lallana Euell Surman Schneiderlin Holmes John or Mc Goldrick. Then the injuries started and the fans started boycottting so we got a pile of young players who don't always perform as they should. If you're 3000 down on you first home gate, well you have to recalculate don't you.3000x£24=72K, enough to pay the bonuses and everything.
  10. Draw 1-1
  11. Even then, if they personally don't start doing something in the next 5 games they'll not be worth as much as they were in the summer. Should have taken anything near to £5 million for the pair. Memories are short in football; just takes a Greek or Egyptian wonder kid and the swans that were available to us for those 2 in August will vaporise as far as we're concerned.Getting a total of nearly £8 million for Bale was sharp business, very very sharp. Spurs wouldn't get that for him today.
  12. Trouble is they are young players who lack consistency and stamina; I made no bones about it at the time, as far as I'm concerned we should have taken the offers from reading and Fulham and got £5 million in there and then and got 2 really experienced,CCC quality defenders. I've seen too many wonder kids at SFC to fall for the old chestnut that they're going to be here for ever and make us great.Moran,Williams,Wallaces,Shearer, yes, Lallana and Surman? give me the money any day.
  13. What sort of setback, are Surman and Lallana winning games for us? Not at Coventry and certainly not last Saturday. In my opinion we could sell anyone in our squad and it wouldn't make any difference of a Saturday (or Sunday).
  14. Stern really isn't all that good.Might be better than the incumbents in attack but he's no world beater.
  15. Didn't score any today though did he?
  16. Cheer up, you could be a Spurs supporter.;)
  17. We're probably better off with the youngsters than blokes on crutches though.
  18. Trouble is Davies wasn't a no brainer, he's not fit and believe what you will, the fact is we can't afford passengers again this season. He's been gone since what end of August, that makes a saving of 100K+ so far. What's more we got 1.3 million for him which decreases our borrowing and saves money on interest. We are in that apple cart, every situation must be weighed up to see if it saves us money. I expect we wanted to keep him if he wanted to stay, Rudi didn't want to go to Ipswich so someone had to move on. It's really not rocket science. We,seemingly, have established a budget on the base of 17K gates. Not much room for manoeuvre there if Skacel,Thomas,Euell, BWP and John are skimming off nearly a third of that every match.
  19. There are plenty of idiots on that site, Skates for the most part but we do provide our fair share. I used to like TUI , some football content, a bit of a laugh but now it's just a clique about punk rock and a free slag off session for the blue few.
  20. How can you fabricate a dislocated shoulder Ladysaint? it ferkin well hurts at the slightest knock long after it's back in place.
  21. He's had a couple of runs out for their reserves, 'bout 1 and a half matches. Knee probably played up afterwards then.Knees are dodgy, some never recover completely and if some-one is going to give some swans you'd might as well listen.
  22. I have never bought this appearance money business. If we had to pay Rudi say £2000 for every appearance he makes, then that's a reasonable sum compared to say signing Ryan Smith or Jordan Robertson on loan at say £3000 a week. If you're not playing a player because of "appearance money" but signing others who are, in theory, inferior whilst costing you more money then the whole argument falls to bits. Unless of course there's a biggish whack due to his former club for the very next appearance he makes.Skacel has played what 53 times for saints so it's not at all likely that the 54th was the lucky number, it would probably be a round number in any case. In my personal opinion Rudi Skacel isn't playing for us because he believes the standard of our team beneath him.Just my opinion though. Now if you told me he had a bit of a botched up contract where a certain part of his salary wasn't paid directly by the club unless he plays, that I could believe. That would explain the new contract in August.
  23. It's nothing to do with Lowe and Wilde, unpopular as that may be. We can't afford a better manager or better players until we shift from our books the theoretically better players that we have that don't contribute one iota to our matchday performances. Skacel+BWP+Thomas+John+Euell= £50000+ (and more) every week. It needs 5000+ spectators in the ground every home match just to watch them err not performing. Lowe+Wilde have obviously tried to shift them but with no result. So you're paying your hard earned to watch them do err nothing whatsoever. That's not Lowe or Wilde's fault (well Wilde a bit) Because of employment law we have to pay them until the end of their contract .If nobody else wants to take them off our hands we're stuck with the bustards, good attitude, bad attituden, play, don't play, it doesn't matter 5000 spectators pay them anyway. So when you're olny getting 16K anyway 28% of your revenue has disappeared up the chimney before you kick a ball. The super stadium, much dreamed of for donkey's years gobbles up the hard earned of another 4000 spectators every game... So you're left with the square root of f**k all to pay the team that actually step on to the field.
  24. You can blame everything you like but at the end of the day we missed 2 penalties that's it and all about it. It gives the opposition a shot in the arm and you a sharp smack right between the eyes.We have got to get Morgan and Gasmi onto the pitch by Tuesday. If not I want to see Thomas,Euell,John and Skacel there with their boots and their kit. If they can't play they should bring a note from their mum explaining exactly why, along with a cheque for the pay they're taking from us and not earning.
  25. Will it? It will bring us the instant sale of Lallana,Surman and Schneiderlin and a 10 point penalty, prbably more.
