  1. Yes but if they start chucking people in the brig for a bit of nooky on the beach the tourism will soon be drying up anyway. That's the problem of many of these little islamic states, they want tourists but tourists don't understand the sharia and why should they, they're on holiday.I'm in tourism (in a way) if you start trying to impose conditions on the clientèle they don't come back.
  2. The poor dears, stock prices crashing, oil down to 73 $ a barrel, never mind Gordon Brown and George Bush will probably bail them out and they'll be buying everything in sight again within a month. Perhaps if the crude oil prices hadn't been pumped up to breaking point in the first place.....=;=;
  3. As long as it's not Olympic Torch.:smt117
  4. But yes, it's been ages since we had one.
  5. The only real bridge between woolston and town.
  6. He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.
  7. To inflict what is seemingly so much pain with so few questions? must be a closet Pompey fan then.:mad::mad:
  8. beginning to sound like Mr Chorley there don'tcha think??
  9. A student with a book of any kind???'bout 300,000/1 or so I should think.
  10. Average being the operative word BTF, that's why I put it there. I once took my then fiancée to the Dell, firstly no Milton, then the ignominy of the tea flask (and the grapes),then the "which one is Channon",what are they doing nows etc.Her saints watching career was sealed by a "I thought you said they were good".
  11. The moral to this tale Phil is don't hang about with tarts who don't understand football.Or if you must ,then don't watch football with them. Football is not compatible with the average female.
  12. I thought LBW was an alternate title for the NotW. Loadsa B***** Weekly.
  13. Unless of course BWP is looking in.;-)
  14. This is the trouble with letting kids in free (local schools) like they did on occasions last year. It falsifies the attendance figure and creates extra costs. Then when you don't do it any more you have the impression that your attendance figures have dramatically shrnk (which they have anyway). I have absolutely no idea when and how many are concerned but apparently it happened last season on a few occasions. Someone must know something about that???
  15. Ah,that I know nothing about.
  16. 200K a month as compared to last seasons 1.1 million a month?? 12x200K=2.4 million. One player sold in January=Season's Profit. If only that were the true state of affairs .
  17. How big? just to get an idea of how much we'll have to spend on players in January.;-);-)
  18. Seeing as you're all going to cop a big packet of taxes to pay for the banking fiasco, I would have thought that being a tax exile just now was the essence of smartness.
  19. No-one will be disappointed, no-one believes these scams any more anyway. Surprise is the only possible outcome.
  20. Yes but he would have sacked him(in a parallel situation) after we lost to QPR at home. However the players wouldn't have been the same, nor the expense of acquiring them so it is a completely hypothetical argument. If we had different (and less costly players) perhaps we might even have got promoted,or relegated. Burley would have remained as "head coach" and not been made "manager". Lowe said that Wilde + crouch were "handling Burley wrongly".
  21. Probably,Lowe+ Wilde are certainly a factor, so is our awful season last year. A lot of STs were sold on our play-off place the season before. Our 2007/8 campaign was disastrously bad hence low renewals on STs. Think we're about 4000 or so down on that front.
  22. he's probably referring to cost reduction targets, overdraft reduction etc. I would think (and I'm no expert) that the target was about 30% reduction in "cost of sales" and about the same on overdraft. It's probably a 3 year plan with objective to be in the black and no overdraft in 3 years.
  23. Well they would have been of course but they would have been made very much earlier and their effects would have probably been less dramatic. Rupert would have sacked Burley for one thing.
  24. You note of course that he doesn't say " Well we don't give a sh*t after tomorrow because we're selling up anyway".Strange that this should be published on "take-over day, version 491.6".
  25. Apparently, but so was last Wednesday, and the one before and the Friday before that.....
