  1. :lol::lol:
  2. It's about 82 kgs hitting on defences. Pekhart is a bean pole, haven't much idea about Paterson;
  3. Well I hope the Pakistani Cricket Board have got their money up front. Back to the Feinduno affair, from my sources at Guichard, if they don't get paid by 5pm this afternoon they are sending bailiffs to bring the players back-bet they don't though;
  4. Because we are having difficulty scoring goals?? Not saying the new guy (who's not ever had a start in the CCC) is the solution but it is our one big failing. We do every thing right but can't just hit the old pig's bladder route 1 into the onion bag.oing back to the ill fated Blackpool game, the 2 chances Lallana got, any Hampshire League centre forward of old would have buried them in the corner 98 times out of 100, instinct would make them do it.Lallana is a constructive attacking player but he is not a Jimmy Greaves/Gerd Muller/J-P Papin/Smudger Smith type goal machine.
  5. I tell you, he got an absolutely crap deal in the summer because no-one else wanted him.He was probably on 3K a week maximum. No way would Lowe have given him anything better.
  6. Not in my opinion no. We can't afford any more Blackpool performances from Svensson, try him in the Carling where it mattered less (although it did). Anyone who was there how did he look; was he mobile? was he jumping high like old times?
  7. Anyone got a DVD of the Blackpool game?? Look at him he's on 1 good leg.
  8. Whatever is most efficient but stop changing the system every other game.
  9. Yes but most still see him as the giant that he was in 2003. Fading stars are oft sad to see.Didn't play against either Ipswich or Barnsley, at least we got a point from those games. He was a shambles against Blackpool.
  10. Have you never thought, has it not flitted across your mind ,that Svensson is in no condition to be a first choice central defender. 2003 is long gone. If he was so firking great nowadays ,our defence wouldn't be the shambles it was on Tuesday night would it.
  11. But he isn't. Why have a stupid hypothetical poll. I'd rather have C Ronaldo than either of them-oh wait he's not here.
  12. Keeps on happening with these Qatari clubs, they swiped a couple of guys from St Etienne last week, the players are gone, tapped up and money in their pockets but St Etienne are still waiting for the 9 million euros in transfer fees. The guys seem to have just p!ssed off to the Gulf without any formal negociations between the clubs or anything. Apparently all this was provoked by agents at the African Nations Cup last year.
  13. Maybe not but I don't see who else there is, Lancashire still has a match on his suspension (I think) .Skacel ? yep but in midfield, if he's motivated and willing that is.
  14. A one year rolling marriage contract, I'd patent that idea OSM before it catches on.O:)O:)
  15. Dyer on 8k a week, tell me you jest sir. We HAD to offer him a contract of some sort I think, otherwise he just walks away for free, no "formation compensation" no nothing.We probably offered him about 4K a week and as he couldn't get anything better he grudgingly accepted it.
  16. Nah he's not anywhere fit enough, sorry you can't keep chopping and changing the defence to accommodate one guy. So he played tomorrow, he wouldn't play against Norwich anyway.Nothing said that Svensson would have been really fit enough for tomorrow. Time for that particular experiment to end. The defence is James-Perry-Cork-Mills, that's the way it should stay until we get Thomas back in action. Jan is biting the bullet here, he knew what he was doing,rest is sound bite.
  17. Great, a morale booster for the troops. Effective cost cutting at last.
  18. But they'll get relegated as likely as not, they'll all being baling (ouch) out . Couldn't happen to a nicer club. They have sold the players that matter, the others will not fill their boots. I suspect if you look closely the 46 goals scored by Keane and Berbatov are the difference between survival and failure. If Pavulychenko (or whatever) can't fill the boots of the departed they will not survive.Ramos won't stand being in the shadow of Benitez for long.Another month or so without league wins and he'll be off, he likes winning does Juande.
  19. What's the difference between our young team developing together who are sh!te and Spurs young team developing together who are sh!te then?
  20. Scooby is God, he's omnipresent and omniscient. he supports all of humanity-except Crouch apparently.,
  21. Yep, probably said that because he can't see the wheat for the trees.
  22. Strange that you should point that out Puff, just as I was saying it would have to be proved to me that Lowe has no personal fortune. Shareholding in WHI must be worth about 600K nowadays, not the sort of sum your average street beggar has at his disposal.
  23. Ah this is indeed the nub of the affair. Football is entertainment and it'd better be good. Now when I was a regular, going to the game was the entertainment,the quality of the football was ancillary. An afternoon out with your mates. You could jump up and down,sing your head off,bawl obscenities to your hearts content, insult players,ref,the bill,other supporters to your hearts content and have a thouroughly good time. Women were scarce (in the Milton),Mums, Grannies and kids nowhere in sight.Football was a mans game, played by men for men (in the majority, apart from the West stand high up). One felt part of a community for a couple of hours and being there was just as important as what was on offer on the green rectangle. Bygone age it would seem, now it's like going to the flicks, must have stars and a good plot and a choc-ice in the interlude.
  24. Ah not sure you're entirely right there OSM, it would have to be proven to me that the personal fortunes of both Lowe and Wilde are non existent. Limited companies can have plenty of debts without their principal shareholders being paupers.
  25. What do you mean? What a surprise that Alpine forgot to tell us the original message on TUI had been changed or What a surprise that Wilde isn't investing?. There are senior posters from TUI here today, strange that none of them mentioned it either. Touting for business perhaps. Anyway as it stands nobody can buy anybody out without bidding for the whole share issue. Simple enough but perhaps some of them have personal guarantees in place for debts and such like that would have to be bought out as well. f you look at certain of the annual account you will see that the bank lending is a "secured loan" .Whether this is still the case or not who knows, but against what it is secured ? who knows.
