There has been a development on this,Bilbao have announced that Herrera has paid his buy out clause 36 million€ (about 28 million £) and he's gone to Utd. The great advantage of these clauses is that they're payable in one hit so Bilbao aren't bothered by any agent's fees, payment delays, options or adds-on. They had no control over the player's desire either though, if he pays he becomes a free agent. Utd were obviously trying to get better terms.

In fact we need to just get on with it, get the money in and get our targets in asap. Instead we'll probably be quibling over 30p for the outgoings well into July and see our incoming targets snatched from under our greedy snout by clubs willing not to haggle over a couple of pence..

In fact the fact that he'd miss 10 or so Liverpool games will help them digest him being sold to Barca for a relatively low fee which will ease Liverpool's FFP problems.

Friendlies aren't official matches, only FIFA sanctionned tournaments count for that, in their case WC,Copa America and at a stretch Confederation's Cup. He'll miss all the Copa America fixtures, don't know how that's organised and probably one or 2 2018 WC qualifiers.

To be honest that match could have exploded at any time, it was quite clear that dirty sneaky Italy were targetting his recently operated upon knee in particular and the average Uruguayan's low flash point in general. Mexican ref was weak, both sides could have been down to 7 or 8 at half-time already.You can't condone the biting but I really don't see it as any worse footballistically than the savage back elbows that are being handed out in nigh on every match. A little love bite........pfff, jaw smashed by an elbow deliberately..not so good.

No it means the rest of this year's tourney and then FIFA WC qualifiers and Copa America qualifiers. Probably about 18 months all in all.

First game at Barca is about 24th August, won't miss much at all, with IB in September perhaps 5 or 6 games, can't remember when the CL starts though.

TBH Less anything than Mayuka is a very poor recommendation really.

I bet he does know who made his Saint's shirt if he's got one, I bet he's seen the Nike adds plastered all over Old Traff and Arsenal, kids are very aware of branded imaging,that's why they're targetted all of the time. The fact that his Saints hero wears and an Adidas shirt will probably lead him to try to influence you when buying trainers, schools bags etc. Depends on their socio-cultural group perhaps. My lad now, he liked Germany's national side, always wanted Adidas everything when possible.

Got to be 8 in the 25 for both the PL and UEFA competitions. Doesn't mean you have to play them though. City get round it easily enough, only 2 HGs actually play for them on a regular basis I think. If you don't have 8 over 21 HGs you jhust reduce your squad by the number that you don't have. Don't think Saints had 25 over 21s last season, didn't do us much harm. Liverpool aren't short of home growns, they're short of talent in depth that's all.
