Perhaps our "difficult financial situation" was more difficult than you'd think. If we are intending to spend all we receive and more on team strengthening as reported then we must be looking at a large number of mid to low priced layers by PL standards. Why bid 5 million when you know that the asking price is 10, I mean it's not as if Koeman wouldn't know that is it. We're trying to sell for a lot and buy for little, then again perhaps that's the way they do things at Green Bay Packers. At the end of the day come August we'll probably have a cheap team and cheap kit.

Thing is Upwey what we really know about any of these situations is diddly squat, it's all heresay from papers,taxi-drivers and leakers that the club obviously encourange to put their side of things across. If what was being leaked didn't please them then I assume they'd put a stop to it as they have in the past. We do not really know what the current situation of the club is, we know what they say but even then it's often confused and subsequent actions do not really confirm what has been said. I personally think the club is in a shambolic state,the players know that and are determined to pursue their careers with clubs where they have a chance of winning major competitions. That's just my opinion though and nothing that I've seen from the club since last October proves otherwise.

But for this your services need to be highly desireable which isn't really the case for many.

Frankly I'm concerned about some of the comment on this thread, the lad had an opportunity to move on upwards and he wanted to take it. The club didn't want to lose him too cheaply and made it a bit difficult so it got into a guerilla warfare situation apparently. At the end of the day the lad got his move and the club were handsomely rewarded end of story. There is no need for the vitriol,the hatred,the leaked derogatory information or anything else.

When is the first friendly ? Couple of weeks away perhaps.

Got a contract for another year, who knows Koeman might give him a chance. the only players we seem to be able to transfer out are those you'd think we wanted to keep.

How do you know that it's him who's being economical with the truth, could be the club to cover up their ineptitude to get his situation sorted out.

Now I'd not set too much store by any of this, weren't we supposed to have agreed a fee for the other bloke as well ? Then it turned out that we'd offered some sort of derisory sum apparently. So until you see the bloke on the OS I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes I know,every man and his dog can know that but in most countries employment law it should never be admitted by the employer or anyone representing them. I'm sure FF could give us his TU standpoint on this. Not that it really matters but sooner or later the club have to plug these leaks before it brings them trouble. As long as it isn't to the detriment of any player or other staff member it has no particular importance but once you get into HR issues then it has to stop.

Oh a bit of transfer news in advance doesn't really matter, it's the internal information that's being leaked that most employers would care about. Still doesn't seem to matter to SFC, probably won't until someone sticks a court procedure onto them for it. You see because normally you can't go around letting people know that an employer thinks an employee is dense.

Depends when the club clamps down on sensitive information being leaked doesn't it. I hope my employer doesn't publish snippets from my annual reviews on the internet.
