And hopefully we'll offer more than Schalke or Seville for him, remains to be seen.
-
Minor league internationals don't count, they're bit part players not particularly desired elsewhere.
-
Really? And he couldn't arrange that in his own time. Hope it's not like Osvaldo's illness then.
-
Probably not no.
-
Or Shaw or Lambert... You have to wonder why internationals don't want to play for us really.
-
No Boruc then, suppose he had a couple of internationals after the season ended and won't be back for a while yet.
-
plenty of clubs will take him on loan if the price is low enough, plenty of other nasty pieces of work in the Calcio. Managed 4 months at Juve without getting into too much trouble I think. Probably just hated Southampton in general and Southampton FC in particular and made sure he got out soon enough.
-
As I said never would be soon enough for me. Personal opinion,we'll see how he gets on. I expect no miracles from him so i can only be pleasantly surprised. Like Koeman I've seen his record elsewhere, poor at Alkmaar, poor at Samp and Parma. He may have improved since then but I'm uncertain that success in the Dutch league is a guarantee of success with us. It could be that he was playing for one of the strongest teams and they just steamrollered nearly everyone else. Our initial valuation was reported to be very low, Koeman must have told those bidding not to go too high at first surely,if the player was of an exceptional standard surely we would have offered more initially.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m

total fallacy, copyright and intellectual property are exactly that, the property of the owner and cannot be reproduced without permission. Try copying out a bestseller and putting it up on the internet and see where it gets you. -

Yes there are, read the terms and conditions on any site.Just saying where it comes from does not give you the right to reproduce it elsewhere. By looking at the Ugly you see their adverts etc. For instance the fixture list for football, you aren't allowed to reproduce it and say Oh yes it comes from the FA. It's copyright you can't reproduce it without express permission of the owner. -
Yes it would, he wants to leave, he said so, he needs to be at a top club and will have no doubt been told that by the FFF again. Even Debuchy is being manoeuvred out of Newcastle to Arsenal. The FFF want the players who'll carry their Euro Home Campaign playing for top clubs and that excludes Newcastle and Southampton.
-
No, he told the French press before the WC that it would be best for him to move on but that the deal had to be right for Saints as well.
-
What like the 40 million for Shaw you mean, at the end of the day we'll take anyone's final offer.
-
But he wants to play at a higher level and will thus leave. This is why getting it right last season was so important, we were almost there, then we spoilt the ship for a ha'porth of tar by not signing a decent reserve keeper and a striker. We had to play garbage and really good players will just not tolerate that. Everything you've worked for just thrown away by garbage like Jos and Gazza. It's not acceptable to top players or top players in the making.
-
We don't have sufficient status to sign such a player..probably fortunately enough for us. If we never signed another Italian or player from Italy it would be soon enough for me.
-
Who really knows, we are very low payers for the greater part of our staff. It's why we only had a total salarial mass of about 42 million in our promotion /first PL year, including bonuses I suppose. I heard from an excellent source that MP was on less than a million euros a year all in with us. When you consider the total number of people who work for the club and do some fag packet maths it's easy enough to believe that we have "major" players on low salaries. You don't always want to believe the astronomical figures that the popular british press like to bandy about.

But he should have just posted a link because this stuff is copyrighted. Not that I think Nick would mind but you never know. These articles appear on another website and no-one has the right to regurgitate them here (or anywhere else) without permission. It's not my problem but it could be for the owners of the site. Perhaps the admin need to put out a little reminder about copyright and libel again. -

And did ou ask Nick if you could reproduce his article here, No? thought not. -
Names didn't mean much to me, Cresswell and Robertson was it? There will be further departures, count on it...2 in number at least, perhaps more. Some we won't worry about, some we won't like at all.
-
Just means they can ask for more money, didn't AOC do that with us? He could have left for just tribunal compensation but he signed a contract and let us rook the Arse for him.
-
English bloke from Ipswich and a young scot from Dundee have been mentioned I think. Other than that no real news. Same on the CB front it would seem. Still perhaps Koeman thinks Jos is the best thing since sliced bread because he's no doubt fixed him up with a phone and a set of wheels.
-
because at some time in the past he's been part of an England set-up I expect. Might be a great coach, who knows, certainly not me.
-
Image 12, those darker patches on the back of the shorts make it look as if they've all crapped themselves. Perhaps Koeman has told them that they'll all be starting against Liverpool.
-
You obviously thought wrongly then. They have a year left on their contracts.
-
That would be the first one t'were I ever to place a bet. Mugs game.
