  1. You've forgotten the Inter Cities Fairs Cup and the Anglo-Italian League, not to mention the Inter Toto.
  2. £20 million=>25 million €, so if it's 12 million €+ player, then the player needs to have a value to us in excess of 13 million €.
  3. Why would Marshall have a relegation clause, he was there before they got promoted, he's there after they got relegated. He might have earnt more money in the PL for sure but his status would probably be otherwise unchanged.
  4. Now me i would have thought the main priority will be players that Koeman wants to have in his team. Now we know, or suspect that we know anyway, that keeping Shaw and Lallana was not a strong priority for him, LR told us that the new manager's decision would be final, so the fact that they're gone means he was non-plussed at best about them. We'll see about the others.
  5. Or if indeed it is all spent...well directly on the team anyway and not frittered away on peripheral items, like LED floodlights which aren't directly team related.
  6. Justly, Uncle Les seems to be obsessed with the England set up, he's trying to recreate it at SFC.
  7. A few players have been signed with known injuries, did we not do it ourselves with the regrettable Tinman?
  8. Anyway it's not about money, it's about playing at the best possible standard. As I said the other day we could pay Messi a million a week but he still wouldn't play for us. It's about status, where top top players are concerned we don't have any.
  9. The Board always say all the right things but then their actions tend to suggest otherwise.
  10. Shining for Zambia isn't particularly difficult, African football is oft devoid of any tactical nous. He who runs the fastest winneth.
  11. I think the bosun's mate is now at the helm.
  12. Wearing named football shirts don't make you look silly in any way at all then?
  13. Unless they have release clauses, contract negociations aren't always a one way street you know.
  14. Told you yesterday that he's as good as gone.
  15. Apart from not being able to score any goals you mean.
  16. Probably because we wanted the money and Koeman was totally indifferent, for him 18.75 million is 2 dutch hot shots.
  17. Wasn't watched by hundreds of millions every week-end though.
  18. Horror start, Smith and Coles scoring a few now though. Still 86/6 off 15 isn't great.
  19. i really, really doubt that Shaw will be on 160K a week, if he is though he will contribute enormous sums to the UK economy, most of it comes from outside the UK as well. So what he's doing is using his talent to support the UK economy with imported cash. If the PL was not so attractive half of the countries on the globe would not contribute the vast sums that PL clubs divvy up between them. You want to see cheap and awful football, subscribe to BEIN and watch the Ligue 1 shîte that they serve up with Africans on 2K€ a week, truly horrendous. Park football is about the same.
  20. BBC says 27 million for Shaw...who knows what the real figure is, we'll beef it up, they'll play it down. Who knows when we'll actually get the amount as well, bit down, bit next year.Totally unknown.
  21. VMAN told us he was going, long long ago. Some didn't like that and turned on the poor bloke.
  22. Provided it's wisely invested of course and not blown on a sack of shîte like Osvaldo
  23. It's 10 million euros, 8 million £, we're probzbly varnishing a bit on that as well, cheap as chipso, normal for a Dutch league Goleador, remind me how many De Ridder scored in that league?
  24. Especially when you strip off Bournemouth's cut, we'll end up with 18 million or so... I hope Bournemouth have the decency to take Sharp and Jos off our hands.
  25. and a better chance of 3 ways surely. Mind you he'll have plenty of time, Evra will still be number 1 LB there next season.
