  1. I was told last Sunday, but the root cause of the available information dates back to just before the WC QF I believe. Koeman speaking to Morgan will change nothing whatsoever as far as I can surmise.
  2. And did he cite the circumstances of this unfortunate demise of the new RR?
  3. That would be unfortunate for him then, still he can get a new one and not even worry about it.
  4. Course he has, said we'd finish 17th in our first PL season when all was not looking rosy at the time.
  5. Was he though? I've looked at the transcript on the OS and he really says nothing of the sort. He says he wants to keep all the players that we now have left but after that it's up to the board. As for Morgan is a and will be a Southampton player or whatever all that means basically is that simply projecting one day into the future makes it a statement which is not false. I know what I've been told by a person who'd probably know what he was on about so to me what Koeman said on the subject is purely semantic.
  6. Then that would be a classic example of Dutch Chauvinisitic Delusion...but I'm sure you jest here so we'll let it go.
  7. Bender doesn"t want to play for Arsenal. Anyway as I've said all summer Morgan is as good as gone, got it from a bloke down at StE who actually was around the French group at Ribero Preto.
  8. Probably yes. That's not the point though, we need Clyne at RB.
  9. are those new tats? Don't remember those, perhaps it's just the white shirt that sets them off so that you'd notice them more.
  10. Exept that with Shaw we still had Fox, not a lot I know but better than diddly squat which is where we are right now.
  11. Anyway Clyne has a slight groin problem by all accounts.
  12. I did in fact seee him in an Unders International earlier this summer
  13. Depends if you believe that Targett is good enough yet for the PL; I personally don't.Schneiderlin will be sold so will Lovren..
  14. No he didn't, come on now DD, no need to make stuff up. He replied "quite possibly" to a being sold question concerning either or both of Lovren and Clyne.
  15. Lovren and Schneiderlin, one can accept that, Clyne..not so much, especially if he goes to Stoke or Palarse or something. Still we have Chambers and no doubt another academy hotshot for the position. Still could be worse, I read today that Blackpool only have 8 players or something. Perhaps we could entice them to buy some of our crap.
  16. You should know by now DD that facts are unacceptable on this forum if they point out anything untoward. As John Major said, it's no point good waving your arms about and living in Dumbdisneyland, these are the facts.
  17. Does that balance out Guly leaving even. All I know is that since the new team have been in place we have sold or let go Fox,Guly,Shaw,Lambert and Lallana, Osvaldo is nowhere to be seen, plus we have our best striker from last season on long term injury and we've signed 2 unknowns from Holland. They might prove to be great players for us but right now we're short at least one left back, probably 2 and have not strengthened the squad in any other position. We have a bit less than a month before we turn out at Anfield so time is now of the essence because frankly we are seriously short of a starting XI.
  18. remind me how many first team regulars we sold for shedloads of cash in those close seasons.
  19. Think so yes. Apparently his salarial demands were beyond our means, or so it was said here yesterday. Can't be right can it ? Not that we need a right back anyway.
  20. I don't know then, I see Steve saying that "we want 25 million" I presumed that was up to date gen, who knows where we stand on anything just now. Manager says no more sales, to me that's it full stop end of the line. No price tags, no come and get mes, nada, nix nothing. If we now sell players at whatever price we will have undermined the manager.
  21. But you'd agree that with the manager saying no more sales there should be no price tags whatsoever. I think Lovren will leave, Morgan as well, these are nailed on sales but they are going directly contrary to the managers pep talk last friday.
  22. but soft, is this an Essex hari-kiri that I see before me ? 29/4, perhaps the pitch is awful or something. Still with only a few to get and a lot of overs to get them I'd not get my hopes up too much just yet. Still Briggs 3/14, perhaps the pitch is turning wicked.
  23. So if that's correct it's not really about not selling any more players it's about getting the maximum amount of money for them then. If we set price tags, even at 25 million, then we say pay up or shut up rather than not for sale. Koeman said no more sales and yet we've put a price tag on one if anyone cares to pay it.
  24. Nope they didn't get a grip and were all out for 171 leaving Essex needing just 133 to win in 4 hours or so. We are throwing our season away with ridiculous batting and the usual nondescript bowling.
  25. And he still gets constant free trips to Uruguay to boot. Way to go Gaston. Personally I think he could do well for us given the right players around him but basically if he wants to save his career he needs to go back to Italy of Spain.
