Apart from not being able to score any goals you mean.
-
Probably because we wanted the money and Koeman was totally indifferent, for him 18.75 million is 2 dutch hot shots.
-
Wasn't watched by hundreds of millions every week-end though.
-
Horror start, Smith and Coles scoring a few now though. Still 86/6 off 15 isn't great.
-
i really, really doubt that Shaw will be on 160K a week, if he is though he will contribute enormous sums to the UK economy, most of it comes from outside the UK as well. So what he's doing is using his talent to support the UK economy with imported cash. If the PL was not so attractive half of the countries on the globe would not contribute the vast sums that PL clubs divvy up between them. You want to see cheap and awful football, subscribe to BEIN and watch the Ligue 1 shîte that they serve up with Africans on 2K€ a week, truly horrendous. Park football is about the same.
-
BBC says 27 million for Shaw...who knows what the real figure is, we'll beef it up, they'll play it down. Who knows when we'll actually get the amount as well, bit down, bit next year.Totally unknown.
-
VMAN told us he was going, long long ago. Some didn't like that and turned on the poor bloke.
-
Provided it's wisely invested of course and not blown on a sack of shîte like Osvaldo
-
It's 10 million euros, 8 million £, we're probzbly varnishing a bit on that as well, cheap as chipso, normal for a Dutch league Goleador, remind me how many De Ridder scored in that league?
-
Especially when you strip off Bournemouth's cut, we'll end up with 18 million or so... I hope Bournemouth have the decency to take Sharp and Jos off our hands.
-
and a better chance of 3 ways surely. Mind you he'll have plenty of time, Evra will still be number 1 LB there next season.
-
We need to get some HG seniors in though cos otherwise we're going to be lighter than Citeh in that department. Once Lallana has gone I think that leaves us with 6, well 7 if you count Sharp..then again who does that. When Morgan goes we'll be down to 5 and us being a pillar of HG football and all that...............
-
Morgan is as good as gone, don't know about Gaston. Anyway as they're our only two players (for the time being anyyway) left in the WC it's unsurprising.
-
Fortunately for us. It would be just more abjectly erroneous crap to confuse us.
-
Employment security for a fixed term for the player, big bucks for the club if the player is any good. Other than that very little.
-
We don't know anything of the kind, all we know is that they were knocked out of the WC last monday and 4 days later they're prancing around the north west signing for new clubs. We'll get all the usual clap trap about good deals for the club etc etc etc but at the end of the day we gave in and Utd and Liverpool got what they wanted, probably on their own terms.
-
It's not about salaries, it's about progression in football. Top players want to play in top competitions, you could pay Messi all you want but he'd never play for mid-table PL Southampton. If you have major nation internationals in your side our target has to be the CL every season, even if you fail at the end and only get EL. You do not ruin their season by making them play with dross like Gazzaniga or Hooiveld.
-
And when you think of the "success" of our scouting network you cannot but be concerned about the quality of our future purchases. For those with short memories I give you Mayuka,Forren,Gazzaniga,Osvaldo, Gaston and even Yoshida, what have we to show for the 37 million £ or so spent on those players.
-
Yep, they told it like it is

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request
Window Cleaner replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Robben,Schneider and RVP don't play in the dutch league, they are the main architects of Holland's success. T"were it not for Robben's lightning pace and exquisite ball control they'd look very ordinary. -

In the Dutch league, from there to the cut and thrust against the world's finest in the PL is a major step. There is no place for mediocrity if you want to do well in the PL. -
But next season we risk fielding what? One academy player on a regular basis perhaps, perhaps none. It's not JWP and Chambers that are going to propel us to the upper heights of the PL, it's either with bought in players or not at all. Suits me, not an academy fan at all.
-
He fecked up at Valencia, took a large pay-off from them though. We have no idea what he believes will be a succesful season, he's only really managed in the Dutch leagues.
-
I'm beginning to wonder exactly on whom we're going to spend all this money actually. I mean by the time it all tots up we could buy virtually anyone but the number of real quality player who'll actually want to come here is debateable.
-
might as well wait until next week, probably have a couple more to announce by then.
