  1. Might I suggest that it's because he is purveying a case scenario that others do not want to hear, ie Luke Shaw going to Utd being a sure thing and probably for nowhere as near as much as the "Koeman makes his mark, Les tells Utd to fark off" loving brigade think.
  2. But most 5 year olds could tell you the shirt makers of top teams, that's the point. It doesn't matter who makes Watford's shirt or Barnsley's but having a "branded" shirt is essential for popular recognition if you want to be a global entity, which apparently we do. Anyway we'll just have to wait and see and hope it's not no-name tat.
  3. I don't know, on infosport last night they we're pretty complimentary. However I think there is a bit of deception in general today ,totally injustified of course, because l'EDF has scored too many goals of late and your average footix has been spoilt. Needed to play the same side but with Valbuena (or even Remy) from the start yesterday because Sissoko is great as an ACM but was a bit out of his depth out on the right of the attack last night. Thought Benzema was a bit quiet as well and some players need to watch those elbows, if Ecuador complain Sakho might wll get a suspension after an inquiry.
  4. So not 40 million or fark right off as reported the other day then.
  5. The TF1 commentators thought he was pretty handy last night..except Wenger who said nothing on his subject at all....didn't want to rack the price up obviously.
  6. Onl 19 million for Bony though, I might well give them most of that actually.
  7. The Pony shirts, I bloody well hope not, they were right tacky.
  8. Isn't all this just what doggface posted earlier on. Bloke has read the forum and tweeted what he read. Of course Nick T and Doggface could just be one and the same person.
  9. Indeed, I made England 3rd favourites for that group and thus likely eliminees. Basically the fault lies with English football for not being able to provide a first rate striker capable of scoring goals against locked defences.
  10. Depends on the review, might get a year if FIFA actually do anything, should scale back Liverpool's ambition a bit, no Suarez and no transfer fee for him, might even finish above them.
  11. In fact it's exactly the sort of crap selling plater we do need to be writing off, let him go to the UAE or wherever it is that they want to pay 10 million€ for him, will do nothing in the PL, I thought we'd have learned our lesson by now. We do not need to be paying 7 million£ for Italo-Brazilian no hopers. FFS
  12. But we won't get the 90 million all at once so we'll still owe money, money is a mere accounting notion in football anyway.
  13. A complete non-starter, doesn't seem to be a dual national, doesn't seem to be a Brazil regular, doesn't seem to be very good...thus won't get a work permit. Italian agent bolloaks...move on.
  14. So we have 4 players that we actually want to sell (or even loan out) if the terms are right and a whole lot that we don't. Don't need to be a genius to know we want to get shot of Osvaldo,Sharp,Jos and Mayuka really.
  15. Doesn't matter what she's saying, it's crap. Hope I'll not get an infraction for that for "trampling on posters' dreams"
  16. Does he not have the final word on who stays and who goes ?
  17. We shall see, not expecting anywhere near as much to be spent myself, to me 35 million would be a decent figure, depends who we sell, really can't see a mass exodus. Morgan and Dejan of the "good" players, Osvaldo on loan and Gaston of the others. Can't see anyone paying the ridiculous fees for Shaw or Lallana so unless we're going to back down on that it won't happen.
  18. And twice the figure that our revered source Guan gave us...
  19. Oh I don't know, whilst they're getting their Chelsea pay and a game now and then with a Chelsea reserve set up like Vitesse Arnhem what's not to like. Cork was always loaned out anyway, got the best of both worlds, Chelsea money and regular football even though he wasn't good enough to get into their side. Anyway I see that Gerrard is now saying that we give young players too much money too soon, perhaps he should tell that to Liverpool then.
  20. Yep, behind to goal then, same as me probably.
  21. Right, don't remember much about that day except that we lost, Mark broke his leg,and that beer was difficult to get before the KO. Waited for ages for a pint in the "Black Horse" only to find out it was a LLoyds Bank.
  22. He was, not sure he went to Mexico with England though, didn't he break a leg in the cup semi at Highbury ?
  23. Well there's a newspaper report on another thread saying that the minimum price is now 40 million so if ESPN are saying that it's not even 34 million (which will include a lot of adds-on) then who knows who's roughly correct and who isn't. Still never mind it sells advertising on blogs and in papers.
  24. All sounds fair enough, I think that we can lean towards them not being the best of friends any more. Koeman is said to have had problems with players from time to time in the past, no doubt he's moved on from then so we can only really wait and see.
  25. Well back in January I advocated selling Shaw and replacing him with either Ricardo Rodriguez or Faouzi Ghoulam, either of them would have cost us less than 10 million £ at that time, Ghoulam went to Naples for about 7 million€ and now Rodriguez will cost you so much more than he would have then. These 2 players are equally as good as Shaw, probably better defenders and better crossers to boot, we missed out on them tough titty for us.
