  1. Hodgson had the idea in his little bonce that Gerrard was the man for that job, nothing else mattered, he made a pig's ear of it as I predicted that he would. He does not really comprehend modern football that's all. PL managers are getting younger and younger and yet the England role is given to an old dinosaur who had a moderate success with the Swiss national side many moons back. Hodgson was a disaster at Liverpool, should never have been given the England job that is all.
  2. Phil Jones for instance,
  3. Shaw being a young player doesn't count on anyone's home grown quota for the time being anyway.
  4. The system or systems that we use next season will depend entirely on the players we have available when the season starts and that remains a total mystery as of yet. In the meantime I shall be eagerly awaiting signs of what he proposes to do with Mayuka,Sharp etc.
  5. We shall find out soon enough I guess, suppose he'll be back from Brazil tomorrow, don't know if he'd be expected to return to SMS before he takes his holidays though. Anyway there seems to be plenty of wheeling and dealing going on in Brazil just now, they said on French TV yesterday that Wenger receives agents proposing players to him nigh on every day whilst he's out there working for TF1, can't be the only one can he, bet he's tapping up like crazy as well, he has players in a lot of squads to visit.
  6. Really can't see why any of you are bothered about this game, Hodgson was always going to make a pig's ear of the job so whatever he does now won't change that. He'll make a pig's ear of the Euro 2016 as well if he's allowed to. England need to appoint a younger manager now and stop tarting about with these old fogeys. Give the job to G Neville now and let him get on with it, you never know by Summer of 2016 he might have got the hang of it.
  7. Can't possibly see what difference it makes really. Don't think ther transfer has been officialised by the FA yet, the rest is just paperwork. We sold him whilst he was still much in the public eye as a WC hotshot, now England have been eliminated in a sorry manner and he's just another ageing player. Should have got shot of the other 2 as well and be spending the swans already.
  8. Have either of them actually played in this WC so far? Straight question, no innuendo included. I lik Phil Jones as a player, I'd have him in the side instead of a variety of people, starting with Gerrard, certainly in this heat. Maybe he's not 100%, Jones that is. Trouble with Jones and Man U is that he gets shifted around to fill anyy gap that opens up, can't be doing him much good, then again that's Moyes for you.
  9. Sounds like a yank "fan" though, opinion thus can be discounted.
  10. I thought that but didn't like to say so, other than that MU have already told us to f*ck right off anyway because Van Gaal has other targets in mind and we're putting on a show of bravado.
  11. Always the Daily Mail though isn't it. Our tame press outlet. If the price is really 40 million then he'll be with us next season, no manager in his right mind will pay, or recommend paying to his board, 40 million for Shaw. Utd have Evra for one more season at least, Evra is a top top LB so they get a stand in for 8/10 million and tell us to f*ck off.
  12. You always get a few rakes like George Wickham though, fortunately there are a few Lydias as well.
  13. Alternatively you could say that the club didn't particularly want either of them and let them wander off after accepting money to let them do so. We really don't know what went on, no point in pretending that we do. All in all we're 6 million £ + richer.
  14. There are no traitors here, just 2 blokes who decided that they wanted to move on and that other clubs could offer them more. It's football....................
  15. Basically the role of captain will depend entirely on who's still at the club on 1st September. If Lallana is definitely ruled out then we'd just as well give it to Davis...for obvious reasons, I really don't know where this excessive confidence in Morgan staying on comes from, he's admitted publicly on 2 occasions that he wants away but only in the conditions right for the club. The fact that he's not trumpetting to the gutter press every 30 seconds or so and has a discreet agent doesn't change that.
  16. So avoiding a group winner in the next round isn't somthing to play for then, if they should lose to England and Uruguay or Italy beat the other handsomely CRC could find themselves second and up against say Colombia...not sure that they'd want that to happen.
  17. What does he expect, if you're not in Europe you'll struggle for top,top players. Next season perhaps.
  18. Still it's nowhere near as good as a 3some where one of the girls is checking her e-mails right ?
  19. the "bint" is a twin (or so they say in the Sun) from there the maths isn't S level.
  20. Perhaps one of them is leaving but is just being discreet about it. DD doesn't allow transfer bolloaks at his training camps, more fool Hodgson for letting everyone do as theyy liked.
  21. World cup summers are always a bit different transfer wise, well in the PL anyway. As we've not really been involved with that since 2002 we've just forgotten how different they are that's all.
  22. Well I'd not really consider those as major additions, not compared to say Fabregas and then who knows what his actual state is really. Emre might be alright who knows but Lambert is at the end of the road, still he'll be able to sit on the bench at his spiritual home I suppose.
  23. Who have Liverpool signed then ?
  24. Zaha's situation may now change though, unless of course he's already sh@gged some relative of LvG...who knows really.:smug:
  25. Certainly not, Koeman can just top us up with Dutch players who are used to his style of play. System will be different anyway, might as well get some money and players who the coach actually wwants.
